The Hoxton Portland

Reception staffer was extremely helpful and recommended that we spend $20 to move from the standard room to a king as we would be staying until noon the next day. Much more space, proper closet etc. It was crucial advice. (Rate even includes an in-room mini-breakfast - OJ, fresh apple, large granola bar.) Room on third floor was very quiet. Neighborhood is 'transitional' - a euphemism for "Keep your eyes open on the street" particularly if on your own at night. But transitional also means a new, high-quality bookstore next door etc.

Husband and I stayed one night for a company party downtown. Local to PDX and wanted a fun getaway. Highly recommend the hotel, great service and super clean rooms!

The check in was great, and they gave me all sorts of suggestions of things to do in PDX. The snug room is actually too small. So I upgraded to a bigger room, which was really nice. I ate on the roof, and drank in the basement speakeasy... very nice hotel. The neighborhood is sketchy AF... so take ubers and lyfts.

Super cool, chic hotel. Great service, great room with super comfortable bed, cozy is right so don’t expect big but just right for a quick overnighter.

Positive: the bed was comfortable Negatives: 1) Tiny room (10X12) 2) No closet or dresser 3) No refrigerator 4) No bathroom counter (there is a window sill that I used) 5) No ice machines I will never stay here again. The room was $175 with taxes and fees. I could have stayed at the Eastlund and had a room twice this size with all the things I expect (see above). I will never stay here again
