I'm at a loss to understand the ratings of this place. The lift is slow and feels like something from the last century. The rooms are designed in a way that I found very strange. Rooms don't even have an iron. The staff stare at you when you choose to get deliveroo for dinner rather than eat at the incredibility expensive restaurant The bed is good and the pillows are nice. This place is fine, but based on the price point - is not worth it. At their room rate, you should get a far better outcome.

True hidden gem. Staff were warm, inviting and went beyond to ensure guest comfort. They were all knowledgeable about this historic landmark and took pride in their knowledge about the property. Any shortcomings of the property due to its age and required historic preservation was easily found to be insignificant given the warmth and beauty of the establishment and each of the staff there, from the door personnel, to reception and management and in particular the dining staff under the leadership of Constantine. The rooms themselves were eloquently decorated historic timepieces with five star amenities and size. It would be a mistake to miss this property whether traveling on business or for rest and relaxation.

A great area in London. The rooms AC didn't seem to work properly though. After 2 days it managed to lower temperature from 25 to 23. A bit weak and took to long. Even a technician came to look and saw that temperature went up even though it was on minus. He "fixed it" remotely in the system. But 2 days to lower 2 degrees is not good enough. Also not possible to use hair dryer in bathroom?! So forget mirrors while doing it. On the toilet seat were 2 light brown stains I had to clean myself when checking in.

This was a beautiful hotel with wonderful service. We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant. Definitely a 5 star experience!

Amazing stay! Extremely elegant. Concierge service was remarkable! Rooms are spacious and very accommodating housekeeping staff. Location is great. Right off of the Holborn tube station. Walk to Oxford Street to shop 10 mins. Walk to British Museum 5 mins. Easy access anywhere! Get to the action but go back to peace and quiet! Baptist Bar and Hotel restaurant was excellent. I couldn’t ask for more. We will definitely be staying here again.
