Arts District Apartments by Barsala

The only objection I had to this booking was I had to pay a facility use fee for amenities I didn't need or want. Otherwise, it was a very modern, lovely place to stay.

Wifi Horrible. No Parking. (Have to pay/move car all the time). Was hit up 15+ times saying my credit card was declined, even though I paid upfront to Hotels.com (The company Barsala apparently had a communication breakdown) There is NO cable. TV you need subscriptions of your own to streaming services.. which cut out all the time because no Wifi. Very Small compared to pictures. I have written zero reviews, but this was not a good experience.

The room and facility were as expected. My only concern was a lack of detail in cleanliness which I expressed to the Barsala customer service line. They offered to clean the room which I declined as had already cleaned up what was missed. Did miss not having a TV in the bedroom. Overall a nice stay and will be staying with them again at a different location in Portland.

I picked out a unit with hard surface flooring and when I arrived my unit had wall to wall carpet. I have health issues with carpet and asked for a unit with hard surface floors. I was told they would get it fixed and then never did after repeated attempts to talk to support. Horrible customer service and false advertising of unit images.

Barsala changed the booking and put me into another apartment block - WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME. The final apartment was fine but Basrala' s customer service was rubbish as was there check in process.
