Holiday Inn Express Munich - City East

The price compared to service does not algn

We stayed two nights in Munich on a recent family vacation. The good points? The staff was friendly, the breakfast was free, and the restaurant in the neighboring Holiday Inn gave the kids free meals when the adults were eating. The bad points? The hotel isn't in the best condition. The walls of both the hallways and all three of the rooms that we had were scuffed considerably. I'm sure there's a lot of wear and tear on such surfaces, but the fact that more care wasn't taken into upkeep was troubling. More problematic, the air conditioning in one of the rooms did not work at all. The staff at the hotel promised that someone would come and fix it, but that never happened. True, we were there from Saturday to Monday, so a weekend isn't the best time to get something fixed. But that room became very uncomfortable. The hotel was a 10-minute walk to the S-bahn, which was great. There's nothing to see or do in the general area.

Too narrow room to accommodate 3 people with 2 travel bags. Small breakfast area for the lot of guests, with crowded moment every morning.

A great hotel with perfect staff!!! Very friendly and always there to help! Highly recommended!

The customer service was great and rooms beautiful!
