Perfectly situated hotel—near the new metro and only steps away from the souk. Excellent breakfast, excellent staff, excellent stay!

The Alwadi Hotel is a very nice, new, modern hotel with all the amenities. The rooms are large and well appointed. The location couldn't be better, right across the street from the Souq Waqif. There is even a convenient underpass which gets you right to the main restaurant section of the Souq. The brand new Msheireb metro station is less than a 10 minute walk away and connects you to every other part of the city, including the airport. The entire hotel staff was exceedingly nice and helpful, especially Mr. Luqman, the Chief Concierge, who was extremely patient with our many, many questions. The hotel does have an issue with their plumbing system, with both our room and our friend's room getting a strong sewer smell a few days into our stay. The hotel was able to fix the issue and it didn't reoccur again. Hopefully they are working on a long term solution. Since they were able to fix the issue in our rooms, I would not consider this a deterrent from staying here again. Especially since it is definitely the best hotel in the area, and the area is the best place to stay while in Doha.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Our deluxe room clean spacious and very very comfortable bed. The bathroom was also spacious with a lovely big bath and separate walk in shower. We had breakfast every morning. Good selection of English and Arabic food and eggs cooked to order. We used the gym every morning which although not very big it was well equipped. The pool area was lovely with very attentive staff who supplied iced bottles of water. Unfortunately our car broke down and we had to call a mechanic out to the hotel. The valet and security staff were excellent helping us out to get the car repaired. A special mention to Ibrahim from the security team who was very helpful. We’ve had a great weeks stay at the Alwadi hotel and the location is perfect for Souq waqif and Musherib. Would highly recommend

The location is superb best place for a short trip to Doha, close to souk and new metro. Hotel is very comfortable and good value with excellent service

The staff were great here. From restaurant Manager to front desk to concierge all were eager to help. You do need more than one slow usb port per room. It was convienient to walk to the Souq Waqif and other areas in the old part of the city.

Great stay. Staff were friendly and the room was clean and decor was very cosy. My only complaint was that the room was non smoking and there was a lingering cigarette smell on the furniture.
