The Brookside Motel

This hotel was deplorable, I was very disappointed the hotels.com had high ratings for it! Holes in the walls, dirty towels next to the room doors the service was nasty went in and immediately asked for a refund.

Room was small, bed was old with broken springs, pillows were awful, bathroom was small, there was a used towel from a previous guest hanging on the hook on the bathroom door,. . .

Room was not cleaned well. The property needs needs upgrades, seems a bit run down. We liked the location, close to shopping, food and Mount Rushmore.

The surrounding trees and cliffs were the best part of this motel. We pulled up late at night to find an old motel with outside entrance, flies, horrible uncomfortable bed and not updated since 1970. We were tempted to forgo our hotel price to drive back to rapid city and find another room.

Stayed two nights and never had any hot water when showering. Room was dirty. Found a dirty sock that wasn’t ours under the bed. The place was rundown and parking was a mess.

Deck to the floor we were on felt like it was going to collapse. A lot of garbage that was around the buildings. Very close to good food spots.

Pretty much central location in a black hills to everything

It had a Jacuzzi but it was out of service. We just booked there for that reason

Overpriced, run down , not what expected

Dirty room. Food left in fridge from previous guests. Bath sink backed up and drained very slow. Bed was sunken in middle causing difficult experience. No elevator for upstairs rooms. Very old run down. No towels delivered after first day. No shampoo in dispensers. Convenient location. Overpriced. Not 2 star more like 1/2 star.
