Moxy London Excel

It was a really nice hotel very trendy better than I expected only thing I would say to add-in is a phone to call down to reception and also a way to control the room temperature and the tv signal in the room was not really all that good. Otherwise, the room was very clean, spacious, comfortable, myself and my partner enjoyed the stay.

Hotel room was way too hot. Temp was 25 degrees on check in and 26.5 when we got back at 11pm. Was told to open the window. Temp went up to 27 with the window open. Asked to move rooms as this was uncomfortable for my pregnant wife, which seemed too much of an inconvenience. Both old and new rooms were dirty. Hair found in shower, carpets not clean and bed sheets smelt of previous occupiers . Snack bar is over priced even for London standards, for example a 1ltr bottle of water at £4.50!!

Overall, wasn't impressed and didn't live up to its expectations. The staff were blunt, didn't really inform us of anything on arrival and just overall unfriendly - not a great start. The room itself was very small, the bathroom was like a portaloo - You couldn't swing a cat. There were many stains (who knows what) on the carpets, and again the room wasn't spacious, and our twin beds were so close together it was practically a double. The AC didn't really work, it was so boiling hot throughout the stay. The room lacked facilities such as kettles, would of been nice as you even get these in budget hotels - I appreciate it's not 5* but surely they want be working below a budget one? The whole room just looked tired and uncared for. Anyway, overall pretty shoddy experience, checkout was as friendly as every (not), didn't even ask us how our stay was hence this review. Unless you are looking for a basic hotel stay and the price is mega cheap, don't bother.
