Star Hotel Bed & Breakfast

I needed a budget hotel in a fairly upmarket location and the Star Hotel fitted the bill perfectly. The owner and his staff were very friendly. Although it was hot and I had to keep the window open, there was a fan which was quiet, with a faint buzz that masked the traffic noise, so I slept ok. The continental breakfast was very nice and excellent value. Downsides were the pokey toilet/showerroom and the traffic noise, but this didn't really bother me and you can't expect everything for the price I paid. I would definitely stay there again in similar circumstances.

We stayed at the Star during a 3 day break to London. It was a very reasonable rate, the service was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was kept very clean. The only slightly negative thing was that the walls were a bit thin so we could hear the person next door bumping around in the morning, but it wasn't a big deal. I would definitely recommend it

It was a very Cozy Room, reminded me of Mr Bean's Room, it was a small room, but not suffocating, just the right amount of space to relax your wee legs, after a Long Day, and the Breakfast was very good as well.

Overall hotel was ideal, clean, and well equipped, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. So easy to get to the nearest tube station, so easy to get around. Only one thing was the room temperature, it was roasting, which won't be an issue for some people.

The room and hotel was just fine for my stay. The single room was smaller, but good for one person and a long weekend (i. e. not much luggage). Bathroom was nice and new, but like the room smaller. Rooms can be a little noisy from the street traffic and the other rooms. The staff and owner are very friendly. Overall a good value for the location.
