Lots of bugs! We’ve stayed at the Badlands Motel twice before and never had a problem. Unfortunately, this most recent time there were 10 beetles in our room. When we found the first couple we were willing to right them off as the room likely hadn’t been used in a while and may have even followed us inside. However, more and more beetles kept appearing. We contacted the hotel to let them know of our experience and to advise them of the room condition. I asked the person at the front desk to put me in touch with management and he assured me he’d have them call me. No phone call and no compensation. Thoroughly disappointed and annoyed. Will NEVER stay here again.

I liked the price but that’s the only positive I can find. - the room had a smell because the windows were painted shut but also had no screens. I think all rooms should have a functioning window. - the walls are paper thin which was unfortunate because I had neighbors that were loud and I was the closest room to the highway ( the motel can’t help that) -I had one of the rooms on the ground floor that had a second story. On the night I stayed the police were called for a domestic issue to the room above me. -I had to kill a number of bugs but there was a sign in the front office that said bugs were normal this time of year( I thought outside not inside) -they charged me a pet fee for my service dog (I didn’t argue but did state in my request it was a service dog) I won’t stay again but depending on which room you were given your experience might differ.

This is our favorite place to stay in Drumheller, we like the staff & owners. We like the rooms we have had, we don't need any fancy stuff. We also bring our dog and she is always welcomed like a valued patron.
