The hotel was clean and quaint. Right across the street from the center square and a nice courtyard restaurant. Parking was on the premesis which is often unusual. I would love to stay there again when we return but we won't for the one important feature that we needed, WIFI. They claim to have WIFI and it shows upon our devices but we couldn't get a signal. We spoke to them about it several times but they blamed the city on the poor internet. I wish they would invest in better WIFI, I'd stay there again.

Walls are paper thin. Staff speaks loudly all through the hotel starting before 6am (I am an early riser). I could hear, loudly, the man next door snoring all night. You may not have a snoring neighbor, but the staff will wake you up.

It was a great experience. The hotel is just across the street from all of the fun shopping areas. Easy access from the bus stop outside of town. You can either take a taxi for 35 pesos or walk to the hotel. I would stay there again soon. I do recommend it.

Location, location, location.....right on the plaza of the Centro Histórico and short walking distance from tourist sites. They have a good restaurant, but others nearby serve traditional local dishes. Only downside was that the WiFi was slow, not unusual in Mexico.

I had a pleasant 5 night stay at Hotel Ciudad Real Centro Histórico. The best thing about the hotel is the location as it is centrally located and very close to everything in town. The staff was pleasant and helpful with booking a tour to nearby Lagos de Montebello, Zinacantán and El Chiflón waterfalls. The food at the restaurant and room service was very good and prices were reasonable for the quality. It was also nice to get a large bottle of water in the room everyday. The only thing is that the rooms are a bit cold, but other than that it was a good experience and a solid choice.

Wall were so thin you could hear everything in the rooms next to you as well as in the hall. Water was either ice cold or scolding hot no middle and the smell of the sewage was always in the room.
