Hôtel Mistral

My husband and I loved our stay! The location was close to a train station and in a safe location. We were within walking distance to the catacombs. The rooms are smaller than the “American standard” but we expected this from Paris and didn’t mind. The other accommodations are so good!! Breakfast was delicious every morning. The staff were very kind and welcoming. They even have a cute little patio where we enjoyed a bottle of wine together after a long day of sightseeing. We could not have asked for a better experience and would definitely stay again!

The room was small but fine, as was the bathroom. The service from the front desk was great. The only problem, and it's a big one, is that the subway (Metro) passes very near (or beneath) the hotel, so every 5 - 10 minutes from around 6 am through Midnight you can feel the vibration right through the mattress. Ear plugs and noise reduction devices don't work, because it is the vibration and not the noise that is the problem. So we didn't get 1 good night's sleep during our entire stay.

The rooms are small which is to be expected in Europe but the customer service is excellent

This is an amazing little gem of a hotel. I cannot praise the staff enough from Romain, the amazing manager, who was so helpful and efficient with all our questions to the ladies who served breakfast and all the other staff. The hotel itself is in a perfect location. Just off the Avenue du Maine, minutes to the Metro and Gare Montparnasse. Even the croissants in the lobby left for weary travelers when they come to the Hotel Mistral were a special and welcome treat.

Yes charming, clean,very friendly and helpful staff, good location. Only the rooms are very, very small. As are the hallways. Very good value . . . unless you're mildly claustrophobic.
