Hyatt Place Austin Downtown

The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The bar and restaurant were better than expected for your typical hotel without being over priced. Great location to all your Austin needs!

Loved how close this is the convention center. I think hotels.com said it was a 6 minute walk but I think it’s more like 2-3 minutes (literally a block from the middle of the center—which is about 3 blocks long itself). It’s also a fantastic location and just a few blocks from anything you could want to see (whether that’s 6th St or Congress Ave) and Rainey Street is just a few blocks more (about a 10 minute walk). Also had friendly and helpful service from the front desk/valet/porter. Rooms were generally very clean but they forgot to change our glasses or refill our coffee one day (and the ONE day we really felt it was needed, hah). It was overall quiet in the evenings but if you sleep past 7am on a weekday, the cleaning service can be a bit loud in nearby rooms. I didn’t have any meals there so I can’t speak to that. My friend went to check out the pool and reported it was small and that there wasn’t a hot tub but I did not see this for myself. The room, however, was much bigger than I expected with a large L-shaped couch in the corner closest to the bathroom/entry.

Great location for walking

Very nice stay. I appreciate the extra room. They comped breakfast for no reason.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We lived out stay with Hyatt Place and I’m sure we will stay there again.
