Connaught House Hotel

Lovely high ceilings. Massive bathroom. Very quiet especially with a bar being downstairs. Would definitely stay there again

A bit of a hike up steep stair to my room otherwise fine, reasonable value for London!

Interesting hotel with lots of character. Comfortable beds, lovely fresh beddings & clean rooms. Bathroom pretty small and might not be ideal for couples but not really an issue if staying solo. A bit noisey from the planes but they do stop from around 10pm-7.30am so again not much of an issue and might even be a treat for plane spotter. Great location for the excel and about 5 mins from the DLR (trip time about 20-30 mins to central London), tip exit the DLR on the left side and follow the main road to the hotel. (rather than walking towards/through the excel) You can also walk to the airport in about 15 mins! The hotel is on top of a large pub, good drinks but food selection is quite limited; aside from burger and chips there isn't much else which looks that appealing. Breakfast choices are better and well-priced. (in the same bar area) The entrance to the hotel is via the pub which closed around 11pm, but there is side door which you can use 24/7 - ask for the code and where it is! This is also slightly quicker than walking thru the pub esp for the DLR. Check out is stated as 10am, but not sure how strict they are on this, I left at 10.15am with nothing said but perhaps they would extend to a more sensible 11am if you ask. I would stay here again as it's so quaint, comfortable and the DLR is easily accessible.

The staff make this place amazing. They go above and beyond every time I visit. The hotel is clean and modern. Definitely top value for the money.

The rooms are a bit small but the bar was good. Also close to the airport.
