Perfect location for seeing the sights in HCM City. Very safe area close to restaurants and shops. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast.

Checking into this hotel with my partner who is Vietnamese ended in a young male receptionist speaking down to us and talking to her as though she was a prostitute in both Vietnamese and English. We have been living together in Vietnam for several years, and this is the first time we have encountered any such issue. I was told that it is Vietnamese law, (it isn’t) that we are to produce a marriage certificate otherwise we will have to book a second room to “avoid trouble with the police”. I challenged him with this as I have lived in Vietnam for a decade and am familiar with my legal rights and obligations regarding this. I said I would cancel my check in and I would like to speak with his manager. He refused and behaved in a manner as though he was “doing me a favour” by allowing me to stay. The doorman and the security guard were both polite, as was the female staff member accompanying the young man who checked me and my partner in. I spoke with the assistant manager regarding this matter the following morning, and she was very apologetic and professional regarding this matter. Regarding the room itself, the drainage in the shower did not work, and the water was cold. We were given a room with a window which had a concrete wall about 10 centimetres in front of it. The room itself was dirty and there were dead cockroaches and other insects scattered through out the room. For 1.2 million vnđ for a room which could be outdone by most Nhà Nghỉ, stay away.

The hotel is in an excellent poition for exploring the city. The whole hotel has the feel that it was once very good but is now in need of refurbishment. The staff, particularly those on the front desk where excellent, very friendly, professional and always helpful.
