Holiday Inn Express Columbus Downtown

The room was great. The hotel is in a great location. The things i will complain about are: having to pay for parking in the hotel parking lot per day, not receiving a bill when i checked out and that one of the staff members did not know what she was doing when she checked me in because the hotel ended up charging me twice for my stay. But everything was corrected a week later. I was offered a refund of parking for the three days i stayed and to be emailed a copy of my bill but haven't receive it as i am writing this.

The bed was a little too high for us older folks.

Wasn't at hotel that much but when we arrived was told elevator was broken. We were on third floor. When checking out said we would get receipt emailed to us and to this day never have received it. The only reason we would stay again is the location is great to the location we had things going on.

Stayed here for a wedding since it was maybe a block and a half away from the venue. The biggest downfall was the continental breakfast not being available but that's every hotel because of COVID and the $5 a day for parking. Liked the room had a king leisure, had a king leisure while in Michigan for work at a Holiday Inn Express and this room was nicer. Great location on the border of both the Brewery District and German Village

Front desk employees were friendly and helpful.They should keep a supply of disposable masks for guests in need. The room was was large enough,the beds comfortable and the shower was very nice. It may seem trivial but I don't understand having to pay for parking if you are a guest.

Not sure why this hotel has decent reviews... I would not recommend to anyone. Front desk staff was rude during both check in and check out process. Employees were heard gossiping and arguing with each other in presence of guests. Room was dingy and smelled of illegal substance smoke. The bathroom shower had brown stains on the walls and the countertop surfaces were dusty. The hotel in general was loud and not in a great area of Columbus. Only pro was that the beds were comfortable.

The hotel itself was nice. The rooms were large and clean. However, the staff was horrible. Upon check-in a very rude young lady, who clearly did not want to be at work, barely spoke to us as she checked us in. She had her friends there and they were all more interested in being on there phones. She then called down a manager, who was at least able to help. The second day a different front desk attendant was also very rude and did not know how to add pantry items to a guest account. When asked what my total bill was she claimed she "did not have access to that information". The pantry itself was in poor shape, with water bottles thrown lazily in, and several items missing. There were also items of a personal nature in the guest pantry, which I found highly inappropriate. At check out yet another young lady didn't seem to know what she was doing, and claimed they were having problems with the printer. The elevator was also out, and we were told it would be "fixed tomorrow" yet was unavailable for the duration of our stay. If I return to Columbus, I will be avoiding this hotel. I love Holiday Inn, but this was a disaster.

We had stayed at this hotel a few years ago and did not think much of it at the time. Well it has been newly remodeled and is absolutely amazing! The room was clean, comfortable, and met my very exacting standards! The elevator has not been updated, but if waiting a few minutes to go up or down is my only complaint, I will consider myself lucky. We will definitely stay here on future visits to Columbus!

We didn’t stay long, just one night, but we slept well. The grab&go breakfast was tasty. Convenient location. No complaints.

Was an ok stay, seriously no parking available for anyone at all. Parking lot is tiny compared to size of hotel.
