Lovely Gdańsk boutique hotel
Stayed here with 2 other couples and we were all impressed with the hotel which stays in character with its surroundings. The hotel is a developed old granary building which Is situated in the heart of Gdańsk looking onto river. It is only a 3 minute walk to Maritime museum and 10 minutes to old town along the river passing lots of places to eat. Buffet breakfast with both hot and cold choices. Food in restaurant was very nice. We would all be happy to stay here again if returning to lovely Gdańsk.

Lovely hotel with excellent facilities, only complaint was room was too hot, tried turning temp down but still too hot, had to leave window open all the time

This is the first time I have ever stayed in a 4 Star/ 5 Star hotel. Unfortunately we got put in the 4 Star part of the hotel. Which had a none working elevator, we were on the 3rd floor and put in a room that was 10 feet x 10 feet. Which considering that we are two men was extremely cramped.

Hotel OK, BUT cooperates with cheating drivers
The hotel was OK. We were pleased with the location and cleanliness. What was VERY annoying and distrubing was the service of the Hotel Taxi. The Hotel has a Taxi (with the Logo of Hotel Gdansk on it). When we asked at the reception for a taxi to the train station (just one kilometer from the Hotel, but with a heavy suitcase it was difficult to walk) the porter took us to the Hotel Taxi in front of the reception. The driver asked for the price of 30 Zloti. Then when we arrived (after few minutes..) he said that the taxometer shows 35 Zloti - although he had no taxometer at all..We had to pay 35 Zloti !! No receipt has been given. As a comparison, when we later arrived in Lodz, we paid 23 Zloti for a ride 5-6 times longer. And recieved a reciept without even asking. Nobody likes to be cheated. In particular, when the Hotel cooperates with cheating Hotel Taxi drivers. Bottom line - an unrealiable Hotel. We will not recommend it.
