Best Western Glasgow Stepps Garfield House Hotel

We had stayed in Garfield House a while back and had a great stay so didn’t hesitate to book again. On arrival we were a bit disappointed with our room in terms of size as on our previous stay our room was a lot more spacious and we had booked an executive double on this occasion. We had also recommended our parents who were in Glasgow for a long weekend book into the same hotel.... they had book a double which was tiny. We paid to upgrade them to the executive double and agreed with reception that they would just swap into our room...the decor in both of the rooms we seen was nice and the bathrooms were modern but this was the only plus side of our stay. It was possibly the worst sleep we have had in a hotel with wedding guests running up and down the corridor, shouting, banging on doors and having an after party in a near by room. The night porter eventually came and told everyone to vacate to their own rooms by which time we were wide awake. Yes there is a warning to say that the hotels hold events when you book but didn’t quite expect this behaviour. On check out there was two members of staff present who we knew had also been on duty the previous evening and were quite shocked when they didn’t even ask how our stay had been, which we presume was probably because they would already know the reply! Safe to say that we will not return to this hotel.

Very comfortable and pleasant stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Great room, really helpful service. The receptionist moved our room to the quiet side of the hotel as their was a wedding on (without us requesting this - very considerate).
