Comfort Inn & Suites Airport

The hotel staff was good, but I booked the room because the website detailed airport shuttle service. When called the hotel from the airport for a shuttle, I was told that due to COVID-19 the shuttle has been discontinued since last spring. They said in fine print on the COVID warning that it states that “some amenities” may not be available. I find it unacceptable that they still list the service as available many months after discontinuation.

Overall I did not have a bad stay. The beds were comfortable and the shower had decent pressure. If there were negatives it would be that the bathroom was very small, and they only provided one small dresser for your clothes. Due to covid the breakfast that they provided was pretty sad.

When I go to the West Coast of Florida on business; there are several types of criteria I must have: 1. A swimming pool whether inside or out and it must be heated 2. Quiet surroundings 3. A front desk that is available for check in and checking out. The last one you might think is strange but since COVID the Hotels are doing away with actual people and you to check into a virtual screen with a live person on the screen when you check in and out. Well The Comfort Inn and Suites Airport in Fort Myers is the best hotel in Ft Myers. 1. The swimming pool is indoors and open from 6am to 11pm daily 2. The housekeeping department will freshen your room daily if you are staying more than 1 day. 3. The front desk is manned with real people and the Front desk person who check me in is “Nancy C” is outstanding. Very welcoming and makes you feel that coming to the hotel is an extension of your home, away from home. 4. Since COVID the breakfast buffet is limited; which is fine by me. 5. The rooms are clean and spacious and quiet. My room even has a ceiling fan for comfort. Every staff member abides by the rules with wearing a mask. 6. They have a rewards program that you earn points for each stay. This is definitely a hotel to come to when away from your home. It’s number 1 in my book.

The cleanliness was more about a hotel that needs some attention to detail and updating given the rust around the faucet in the tub in our room. The main issue was really a minor one but come on guys, banana muffins seven days in a row, prepackaged yogurt and pretty much oranges as the only fruit says to me that the manager or owner was much more interested in value buying with little care for customer satisfaction. What would have been the problem with buying at least a mix of muffins? I changed hotels in part because of this. I ended up moving to another hotel for eight days that was the same in room quality, $8 bucks cheaper a night and had hot breakfast every day with you guessed it, a mix of muffins, eggs and bacon, slow cooked oatmeal and a mix of prepackaged condiments for the oatmeal and the yogurt served up from a yogurt machine. This was my third and last time staying at the Comfort Inn Airport.

Great hotel. Will stay again! Love the big rooms!

my only complaint is that we kept having to go to the front desk because out room keys would stop working. Also, the WIFI would not stay connected. The staff were very nice.

Quick easy access from RSW airport. Easy access to I-75. Arrived late in evening for business the next day. Was comfortable.
