Hotel Mela Times Square

We love this hotel although disappointed there was no fridge in the room.

The bed was comfortable and the staff seemed nice enough. The ironing board needs to be bigger. The tub dripped and the room seems a bit small, even for NYC standards. The location is good.

As always, we had a great experience! Hotel Mela is our absolute favorite hotel in New York City

This hotel was once really nice. It’s relatively run down due to its convenient proximity to Times Square. It needs a refresh for sure since it’s been over a decade since they’ve opened. It wasn’t awful, but the rooms are in general very small, and the worst thing was that the bed faced the door, and there is a huge gap all around the door so the light from the hall got in and made for a bad night’s sleep.

This was a good stay. The sole issue was upon check in. When the document was printed for me to sign it had the wrong dates, I noticed. The person at the desk replied that there was nothing they could do. I was able to produce confirmation emails directly from the hotel with the correct date and it was promptly corrected. Thankfully I had these messages.
