Mystic Dunes Resort & Golf Club by Diamond Resorts

We waited in line for an hour to check-in. Only two people working the front desk but there were four employees sitting at another set of computers doing NOTHING. Why? They checked us into the wrong room. Couldn't get it with key cards. Had to move to another room. Didn't have enough towels for the 8 of us. WiFi didn't work, was on hold with tech support for 40 minutes. Each time we called the front desk we were on hold for 20-40 minutes and sometimes it went to voicemail. We needed a crib, towels, extra pillows and blankets, and WiFi. Everything was a hassle. They didn't have enough employees or something. Very poorly run. Another lady checking in asked to see the manager and complained about the long wait and seemingly non-busy employees who did nothing to help. I would never purchase anything from Diamond or stay at Mystic Dunes ever again.

The complex is quite large and was good to walk around. The pools were nice. Our room was perfect for our family of 5. I would have given a better review it were not for the fact that you had to wait in the same line to check in the hotel as to get the equipment for the activities. The same line where people are checking into the hotel is where they asked us to wait to get the shuffle board, tennis rackets, basketballs, etc. One day they had a person separate from that line to help with the activities. I had to wait for almost an hour just to get shuffle board. I had asked repeatedly if this is where I had to wait and each time it was confirmed.

This was my third stay and first disappointment, I was out in an older unit that felt very humid and poorly decorated. The WiFi was useless and I was not offered and Gold member benefits.

The only complaint is my son in law had some business to complete and the quality of WFi was very poor.He even paid extra and it was poor at best.

Location of the resort was very convenient. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby and easy access to freeway. No trouble getting to WDW or Universal.

A little run down...maybe 2.5 stars at best Dated interior, not up to my cleanliness standards

We have stayed at Mystic dunes in the past. We decided to come here again. It’s a very good value. The on-site restaurant was excellent. The grounds are maintained nicely.

We were visiting Orlando for my daughters 9th Birthday and thought that the resort was a steal of a price based on the pictures. The villa we got was a deluxe king studio and the villa had a beautiful big bath tub and comfy bed and nice size pull out Sofia with a patio. The resort it’s self had a decent sized pool with a cute waterfall and one slide. The service in the office was terrible though, they demanded a $300 deposit that was no where on the website or hotels.com and we didn’t expect such a huge deposit, there is also an addition $130 resort fee! Which we were never told about anywhere else either! The room had black ants and flies in it and worst of all there was no room service for the whole week! And after two days in the pool we needed new towels, our trash was full for two days before I finally called to see what I was suppose to do with so much trash and flies in the room and they told me to put it outside and the person whom I spoke too was so rude! At check in they never told us we wouldn’t get room service at all or our towels replaced, clean sheets and no trash takin out? And it was a week stay! The cops knocked at our door at 3am to tell us we were too loud and we were all sleeping! Mind you I have a 3 year old. The next day our neighborhoods were teenagers I think and nicely apologized for being loud ( makes sense with the cops knocking) the resort was beautiful, the pool was “okay” the amenities for $137 was not worth it, specially with no room service.

It was amazing, we enjoy everything. The front desk and Managment treat us like VIP we really appreciate everything they do for us. Everything was really clean.

If I decine to allot my time tonan agressive sales pitch, I am ostracised. Compared to my stay here two years ago, they have maintained nothing and let it fall to waste. So, aggressive sales in top of a poor stay. A lose-lose on all counts.
