Hotel Excelsior

The location is perhaps the best there is. Just a two minute walk to Old Town but on the Adriatic with a feeling of an indulgent seaside resort. The service is simply exceptional though the front desk could be a touch more responsive. Having said that, I am searching a little for things as it was overall simply exceptional. Food was good, the restaurant a little large inside to feel intimate but the restaurant seating outside was generous and practically all tables had generous water views. The bar was in another floor and I never quite understood how it was operating or how to get a seat but it sure looked great. The pricing was exceptional given its commitment to excellence and delivery. The floors are confusing because reception is on four and most of the other floors are negative numbers. I get it - but there was almost always somebody getting off on the wrong floor looking for 2 instead of -2! If I were to come back and need to be close to Old Town, I’d pick this hotel immediately again.

This hotel was beyond our expectations and was exactly what we needed. A romantic luxury resort with a breath taking view of Old Town. Food and drink options are amazing and just a 5 min walk to old town.

Fabulous, only issue was the air didn’t work in one of our rooms. They quickly changed us to another. Very accommodating, and a beautiful resort
