The Charles Hotel

Friendly staff and nice accomodations. Including parking to overnight guests for free would be nice given the times and empty garage.

We stayed at The Charles this past weekend to visit our daughter at Harvard. From the first interaction with the front desk to the dining at Henrietta's Table to the smooth check out, the staff and service were impeccable. The TV in the bathroom mirror was the icing on the cake! The lobby was lovely, elegant and very comfortable, and the room (and view) was fabulous. Our little dog also traveled with us, and the hotel staff were very welcoming to him. Particularly comforting was the cleanliness -- we were hesitant to stay in a hotel during this pandemic, but The Charles was meticulously clean and people were socially distanced. We eagerly look forward to our next visit soon!

Excellent stay, helpful staff, wonderful location

Gorgeous comfortable hotel.

Down -rated slightly : No coffee machine in the room . No advance notice that the hotel front entrance was being renovated . High price ($45 ) for overnight parking . The essentials were on target : The room was quiet and clean .

Beautiful room, great staff. But the hotel is currently undergoing major renovation which was not mentioned in any obvious way at eve time of making the renovation. Really detracted from the experience and will stay elsewhere until the work is done.

Location and the bedroom itself were great. There was no coffee maker in the room.

The counter staff at check in was very pleasant and professional. We enjoyed our spacious room. I found the pool area lacking in general maintenance regarding failing tile and a tired hot tub. I actually ended up repairing the hot tub so that we could use it. The locker room was clean and well stocked. I was disappointed by the wait staff at Henrietta's restaurant. Though they were polite and dishes came out quickly, I did not learn that I could charge our meals to our room and save my cash until a gentleman next to me was given the option after I already had paid cash. I chalk this up to my being a working class single father that was in a tshirt and jeans and not wearing high a end suit or an Oxford sweater.
