Ordered a king size bed and it turned out to be full size. Front desk said “Expedia customers only get full sized but you can upgrade for $25 a night”. Unacceptable. Hotels.com intervened to hotel management to get us to a king bed no charge. Worst part was front desk telling us that the full size bed was a queen and that we were mistaken.

Fantastic!! Room was small, so not ideal for 2 ppl, but it was perfect for me. Clean rooms and in excellent repair. I would stay here again and again and again!

Beautiful Hotel with great staff!

Great location and very friendly staff. Room wasn’t quite as fancy as pictures portrayed and I paid a little extra to stay here over another hotel. I would stay again, but it’s similar to other hotels and maybe not worth the upgraded price I paid.

Overall, beautiful - and beautifully kept - classic hotel in the heart of Austin. Lobby is excellent, good bars within the hotel, decent gym, nicely appointed big rooms. I would stay again for sure. Point of note - I lost my keycard out on a run one night and the front desk had me wait, sweating, for almost ten minutes in the lobby to be escorted up to my room by a security guard to check my ID (and in the middle of this the front desk never issued a new card, so I still needed to go back downstairs to have a card cut). It’s a small complaint, but a poor policy out of sync with anywhere else I’ve stayed before where on losing a card there is plenty of info on file to verify an identification of a guest without the intrusion of a security guard in your room (who was very polite).
