The Darling Hotel

I loved everything but the only dissatisfaction I had was there was no where to get creamer for my coffee. And the shower from the top didn’t work and the top of it was dusty. But it’s a beautiful Hotel and it exceeded my expectations.

Staff was great and it was fun to see this restored historical building become beautiful again. We were upgraded to king room because we were celebrating our anniversary. We received good wishes throughout our stay. On site restaurant was great.

It was really nice. It started to get kind of loud around 10:30 or 11:00 but I was able to fall asleep. I ate at the restaurant it was really good! Bed was so comfortable.

This was a fabulous place to stay - cute, cozy, staff is responsive and friendly. Super cute, the restaurant upstairs is great and treat yourself to a cocktail.

My boyfriend and i had a wonderful staycation at this hotel. It was very clean and full of beautiful details that we truely enjoyed. The resturaunt was delicious and hotel was nice and quiet. Great for a couples getaway.

Great place beautiful room and the food and cocktails at the roof top restaurant were very good.

This property is gorgeous. It feels like 1920's Hollywood. Everything is beautiful. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

We stayed for 2 nights in the executive suite with the bathtub ( side note: there is only one suite with the bathtub, the other had dual showers). While the interior looked nice, it wasn’t really functional. The sofa and chairs in the living room weren’t comfortable, however, the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in. Also the windows are not dual-paned so it sounded as if we were sleeping on the street. On our first night, I woke up at 3am to a street sweeper that went for what felt like an eternity. Then when I finally was able to fall asleep, I woke up again to the leaf blower around 7am. And when I was able to fall asleep again, I thought I was dreaming of a train passing through the room until I woke up again and looked outside to see a train passing through about a block away. Needless to say, it was a pretty rough first night that forced me to miss an early morning meeting since I didn’t get much sleep the night before. Also, I made reservations for dinner at their restaurant, Elderwood, and I received at least 4 phone calls, emails, and text messages to confirm my reservations. It was definitely overkill. The restaurant itself was pretty good. I did order breakfast offsite one morning at the local coffee shop and that was pretty impressive. Overall, I would say that The Darling is probably the best options in the area and worth staying at if you can snag a very generous deal. If you pay full price, be prepared to be sorely disappointed.

Extraordinary property. Everything was outstanding, from the service to the room to the restaurant on the rooftop. We had the executive suite with very spacious room, living room and equally spacious bathroom with two showers. The hotel is in a Art Deco building and everything is decorated in the same style. Brand new hotel, open in July 2020, done to perfection. Service was outstanding, Claire at the front desk deserves a lot of credit, called us prior to check in to make any accommodation including restaurant reservations. Beautifully decorated, very comfortable bed, spotless clean everywhere, two smart TV including Netflix, Bodouri coffee machine with excellent quality coffee and tea, there is a fridge with bottled water. No housekeeping due to COVID but anything you need is provided upon request. Absolutely outstanding experience. Easy parking. Very highly recommend this property for the quality of amenities, there is a pool as well, for the outstanding service. This is definitely a premier hotel property. My million thank to the team running this place and especially to Claire who made us feel special.
