A lovely old character hotel in a great location, perfect for exploring Oxford. Rooms and furnishings now feel somewhat dated but very comfortable and spacious. Service was efficient although not always particularly friendly or engaging ( exceptions being the concierge and especially Keira in the restaurant). Breakfast was excellent although choice at dinner was limited and the food average for the price. An enjoyable stay though not really a five star experience. The hotel is soon to be renovated which is definitely needed but I hope that they retain the charm and ambience.
Perfect location, great food and service. Will definitely return.
Not good at all, both my wife and I felt very disappointed from start to finish. Room had a very uncomfortable bed, no mini bar, bathroom very tired and in desperate need of redecorating. Rest of the room cheap and old furnishings and not as shown in photographs. Breakfast was disgusting and mostly inedible including the coffee which was just brown water with no taste. Definitely not a 5 star. We will not be returning and find somewhere else to stay in Oxford when we are visiting.
Loved the building
Never disappoints. As good today as it was 21years ago. By far the most superior hotel in Oxford!
Loved the hotel and its association with the University and Morse. Very comfortable bed too Great restaurant one issue was a warm beer in the Morse Bar .
It is a 5* hotel in decline.
Debatable 5* breakfast awful drinks expensive, room lovely staff pleasant probably wouldn’t stay there again
My sister and I stayed at the Randolph for 2 nights on a visit to Oxford. We found, almost without exception, the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful, which certainly added to the enjoyment of our stay. The food was good, maybe not outstanding, but overall we had a very enjoyable stay there - I think someone had used the word "stuffy" to describe it, and we would say it was far from that. We loved our visit to Oxford, and the Randolph was a big part of that.
Historic hotel that oozes charm.Sadly it is now ready for its refurbishment due to start in October 2020.It will close for 7-10 months so book now while you can still enjoy it Rather like a gentlemans London club, slightly tired but comfortable. I do hope that the new American owners will cherish the heritage that this place represents. Brilliant service and reception staff that other hotel could learn alot from.
