When I first drove up I thought the place was closed. One car. The bar/event center is closed. The neighborhood is very sketchy. The place was clean and the service was good. Breakfast was pick the packaged things you wanted for the desk clerk to get for you. It was fine. The room was clean and plenty of space. Overall it was better than expected after first impressions. The neighborhood is government housing and a half empty strip mall.

it was beside the river and we had nice river view from our window but there was absolutely no outdoor seating of any kind so we were unable to sit outside and enjoy the nice weekend we had. It seemed weird in this time of covid restrictions they would not have provided some sort of outdoor seating

Mistakenly booked at this hotel tried to cancel 2 hours later and would not refund my money. What’s ripoff

On the outskirts of Rockford. This appears to be newly renovated. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which was very nice. Everything in the room was top notch--the bed (king size), bedding, bathroom, shower, towels, and carpeting. Smelled fresh and clean. The elevator has not been updated yet--slow and creaky and briefly out of order. Due to COVID, the continental breakfast was a little haphazard. One had to stand in line to get a granola bar, boxed cereal, bagel or toast, coffee, tea, or OJ. Because you couldn't clearly see the offerings, it didn't run as smoothly as it could, but the staff was friendly and helpful. Interesting decor in the lobby--European antiques! Great stay. Would definitely go back.

Looks rough on outside, but clean, comfortable rooms. Nice staff. Was perfect for business in Rockford.

Very clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed the fact the room had lots of open space--much larger than a typical hotel room. All the COVID regulations are diligently complied with. If you have time, try the park on the other side of the river. Nice walking/bike path, and benches to relax and watch the boats go by.

Wonderful staff and room. Very quiet, slept through the night. Beds are extremely comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

In their pictures there was a deck by the river which was one reason for selecting this location. However when got there they told us it was closed due to disrepair. That was ok, but that should have been disclosed up front. Other than that it was excellent.
