Americas Best Value Inn & Suites St. Louis, St. Charles Inn

At check in, i couldnt inderstand him. Then charges me extra money, and a $50 deposit which takes 3-5 business days. They never told me this when calling the night before. Over all worst experience ever. Will NEVER stay there again. Wouldnt recomend it to anyone. Door knob fell off of the bathroom door. Stains on the carpet.

The people were very rude. I had my friend helping me bring my bag up to my room and the owner/front desk attendant harassed him verbally. If I hadn’t already paid I would have left.

The pool was closed so that was disappointing. Also my bed sheets had a stain . And put lamp was broken. Nice people but I wouldn’t stay again.

Breakfast was disappointing. No biscuits eggs or sausage. Only waffles and muffins.

Trouble with the remote. The room had an odor. The tub is high so if you’re old or short, you really have to lift your leg to get in and getting out is not that easy either.

Switched room, because the first room was filthy and had a mold covered bathroom ceiling and rusty doors. I selected this hotel because it offered an indoor pool and would give my kids something to do, but the pool was out of order. Breskfast consisted of waffles and cereal, with foul smelling milk. However, the apple juice was decent. The only positive thing about this hotel was the convenient location.

Pool was closed, room had a dingy smell. The staff wasn't polite. I stood at the front desk while he was on the phone then when he hung up i wasn't acknowledged at all when i told him i had a reservation and my name he typed some stuff into the computer for a while then david ok now for name. Not really happy with the hotel cleanliness either. Really it's probably just old, but it doesn't feel cheapen

We have stayed there numerous times in the past 12 years. Things have changed the last 2 times we have stayed there. We are thinking they are either under new management or ownership. The staff is less friendly and less present. The cleanliness of the entire facility has gone down a few notches. The outside doors are not key card accessible after hours like they used to be. The rooms have been less than clean the last 2 times we have stayed there. The was a dirty wash cloth in the shower. The shower pressure was less than adequate. The hot water disappeared during the shower both mornings. There was dirt on the floor in the main area of the room. The pool area was closed 'for maintenance' and there was no indication of any maintenance being performed in the pool area. The free 'hot' breakfast was luke warm at best. The grounds outside the building were not as clean as we have found them before. After our numerous previous visits we always looked forward to returning there when we needed a place to stay in St Charles. The last 2 times we are less than interested in returning to ABVI St Charles. Disappointed at what once was a true value for the price.

Convenient. If you just need a room for a night there’s absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. Walk to Texas Roadhouse and Bass Pro Shop. Highly recommend driving to old main street St. Charles. Great food and drinks. It’s like walking into a Hallmark movie. What more does one need?
