My friend and I stayed here for two nights, and we are so glad we did! Ronnie (front desk) was amazing and provided such great advice. We loved the welcome reception/happy hour! Our room was spacious and comfortable. The location is great, too! The breakfast was also super yummy.

Great hotel! Surprisely I liked it a lot!
I found this hotel very nice and totally enjoyed my stay there. Before making my reservation I saw some pictures and read some reviews and everything looked not so great. But I took a chance and booked it because the rate for a King-Bed room was only $108 per night, and I did not regret it at all. I believe that the hotel was recently remodeled, that’s why many of old reviews and photos do not apply anymore. The hotel’s building looks like a basic motel building from the outside, but inside the hotel actually looked pretty good, everything was clean. The front desk guy who checked me in was super sweet! I chatted with him a little the next day too, he is a super friendly and lovely person. I got a room on the 2nd floor. It was very quiet, I could not hear any noise from the outside. The room was huge, space there was awesome! The room was obviously remodeled and very clean. I liked the little kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator. The King-Size bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was pretty big too. They left a lot of towels there. The bathroom amenities were of okay quality. Wi-Fi was working very fast. Basically I liked everything about the hotel and have no complaints at all. Also I would like to point out the hotel’s location, which was great. The hotel is just a few blocks from some parks, water front, many shops and restaurants. Public parking is right across the street from the hotel and is not included in the price of the hotel $15/day.

AC was being repaired. At check-in they gave option to go to sister hotel across the street. It was the fire and nicer hotel The Captain Cook. Great place!

Please don't expect air conditioning in the hotels around Anchorage; never hot enough to warrant it, though room fans were provided and windows/balcony doors are able to be opened for cool breezes. No frills hotel very close to all the shopping, local hiking trails and restaurants. Because of COVID, limited array of foods were available at breakfast, but not the problem of the hotel. Free street parking on the weekends.
