Extended Stay America - Bakersfield - California Avenue

The receptionist in front was rude. Amenities in the room was not complete. No conditioner, hair dryer, coffee but the ad says free breakfast. A loud radio playing at night and couldn't sleep.

Never got a room. Hotel was over booked, paid for ahead and no where did they mention a huge deposit on their add.

Upon driving up to the hotel I observed several homless individuals that seem to live nearby and an abandoned vehicle that was lived in. I also noted that the property was littered with trash and paper. I did not feel safe and cancelled my reservation. It needs to fence off its property, clean it up and remove the people in the parking lot.

When i got to the hotel i was told my room was given away and i was switched to a smoking room that “didnt smell”.

Was ok. Didnt know a train yarf was behind and was in a really bad area

Weak wi-fi signal, cable was out, and my window was about 50 feet from the freeway. Not awesome. Will not stay here again.

It’s fine for one night. The standard size fridge was great. The person at the front desk tried to tell me my dog wasn’t ADA even though I have documentation.

Extended Stay was completely different then any I have stayed in. The office door is locked, you have use the phone around the corner, call the front desk, confirm your reserbefore they will open the office door to you. The rooms were pretty decent, needs a little updating. However the train depot behind the hotel was noises at night. The people hanging out in the back parking lot all night, yelling, made it difficult to sleep. Sketchy people all around. Felt like an unsafe area. I dont think I will ever go back to that hotel again.

Only one luggage carrier for the whole place. No Breakfast and No Room Service. No Security on the property with Homeless people walking through day and night. I’ll never stay here again.
