Econo Lodge Traverse City

Had stayed at this location in the past and was satisfied. The hotel has really declined; will not stay there in the future.

When we showed up to check in we waited over 5mins to come to the desk. She did not have a mask on at all. Once we got to the room the paint was peeling in the bathroom, toilet seat was cracked, sink took forever to drain, there was a piece of Walgreens ad on the ceiling. Was not welcoming or comforting at all!!

Paint was peeling throughout the bathroom. The exhaust fan was noisier than a jet taking off. The toilet seat was loose. Tile grout was filthy. Faucet handle was loose. And that's just the bathroom. The mattress was very noisy, you could hear the rust in the springs that nearly poked through the mattress. The A/C heater fan worked, but was almost as loud as the bathroom exhaust fan, way too loud to provide the white noise needed to fall asleep. Maybe that's intentional to cover up the sound of the neighboring rooms barking dog, as the walls were very thin. Hotel needs some serious upgrades, especially considering the ridiculous amount paid ($200 for a Saturday night). This had the quality of a $40-50 motel room. Light showing around the edges of the ac unit. Room 117.

Paid too much for the poor quality of this hotel. Use the money to do some repairs like painting the walls and getting the cigarette smell out of everything. Maybe new mattresses and air conditioners too.

Property was in very bad condition! Falling apart!

Place was dirty, windows were very dirty. No carpet in the rooms. Carpet in hallways were very soiled and should be replaced. Most screens were falling out of windows. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Back of property looks like a dump. Sorry .

We had everything we needed. Perfect location, too. The room was spacious, comfortable bedding, room bathroom, had a much needed refrigerator and microwave and coffee pot which for us is a big plus! Clean, and also a nice quiet location.

The gentleman who greeted us upon arrival was very friendly and helpful. The room, however, was not in very good shape. The fixtures were dated, baseboard trim falling off the wall, wallpaper peeling, etc. I realize this was a holiday weekend at a high tourist location, but for $161 a night I expected more. This was more like a $35-$40 hotel room.

Horrible, dirty... stuff left in the fridge. Hair on the sheets, blankets old, ratty and torn. All for the lovely price of $140. No breakfast. Go somewhere else.

This is a reasonable option if you can't find places in Traverse city. The hotel is far from great, and definitely over-priced for its quality and cleanliness. However, it would "save you" if you did not manage to reserve anywhere else.
