Stamford Plaza Melbourne

Great location close to shopping and restaurants, short tram ride (free zone) from Southern Cross Station, fun glass elevators. Pool is indoor on the top floor.

Great service with good size, well designed rooms and very comfortable bed. Only issue was the over-priced breakfast.

Overall, room etc was very good, clean, comfortable and spacious. Check in was very slow even though it wasn’t busy. Other than that minor criticism I would gladly return

I usually stay on St Kilda Road where it is much quieter however decided to give the Stamford a try. Being awoken at 7am(4am Perth time and having only arrived a few hours earlier) by a jack hammer and then enduring night works was not my idea of fun. Turns out there is a new building in progress right next door which was not explained to me. The Concierge on arrival where limited in their words and I really did not get a friendly vibe, I expected more a of a welcome and explanation which just didn't happen, I had to ask about the wifi etc. There was only one lift working meaning it would take up to at times 8 minutes for a lift down. Il be heading back to St kilda road next time.

I had the best, most relaxing sleep I have had for years! Our room was wonderfully quiet and the bed and pillows were so comfortable, thank you.
