Stranded and Hotel is not near the airport
First off the title for this hotel is incorrect, it is a 40 dollar cab ride from Miami airport to the hotel, it is NOT near the airport but it is 15-20 minutes away. We had a late arrival which hotels.com ( according to the holiday inn ) did not communicate to the hotel so the shuttle never came to pick us up at the airport ! After calling both the holiday inn and hotels.com they decided not to do anything about this and in short told us good luck with that and find a cab. The only thing in walking distance to the hotel is a mall. It approximately 25 dollar uber to get to south beach or the port of Miami. The room itself was ok and served it's purpose.

Holiday Inn Shuttle Scam
We booked this hotel because it said "FREE SHUTTLE " to airport. When we checked in Clerk said we were leaving before shuttle service started ( she said it was in "fine print") No mention of time! So we were going to be charged $50.00 for shuttle to take us to airport (17 minutes away)! We called Uber who only charged us $25.00! Hotel scam RIPOFF! We contacted Hotel.com who talked to Holiday Inn supervisor and Hotel.com offered us a discount on our next stay. They were going to put our complaint in their Data Base! So beware Red Eye fliers don't book here if you expect FREE Shuttle services according to hotel their shuttles run from 6 AM to 10:00PM!!
