Howard Johnson by Wyndham Beckley

Overall our stay was what I would say below average. The beds were uncomfortable. Our rooms were on the first floor which faced another hotel who's light shined into our room and which the curtains didn't cover completely. Across the hall another person had his door propped open all night long and left his tv on all night, until after the second time we complained. The room was clean, but this was about the only good thing of the stay, no breakfast due to covid. Fair to average. Alright for the price.

It was perfect for an overnight stay with my pups.

We were on a road trip and picked Howard Johnson's for the location. Very pleased with the room, service and will definitely return.

Not pleased about entire lack of continental breakfast, I specifically put that in my search when booking. We’ve stayed in hotels all week and all others offered “grab and go” with muffins, fruit, nature valley bars, water etc. We can all touch the same coffee pot and cream/sugar canisters but we can’t grab our own muffin, just seemed cheap and inconsiderate. Only 1 cup for coffee pot in the room. Also I didn’t notice when booking that there is no elevator here. Be prepared to carry all your stuff upstairs.

When we got there the outside was clean but in great need of updating. Once inside we didn’t know that breakfast would not be at all. There is NO elevator, once we made it to the room(the hallways smell like cigarettes), our bed had visible stains upon walking in, further looking you could tell the floor had not been vacuumed, the room had not been dusted let alone cleaned with any cleaning supplies. There were little dirty handprints and fingerprints all over the furniture, the mirror were all streaked like someone used a dirty towel over them, the refrigerator was filthy, the bathroom had small hairs(pubic?) all over(there was one on the vanity behind the coffee pot, the shower had soap scum, we even found a peanut on the floor under the edge of the bed. I took plenty of pictures and wish we were able to upload them. Needless to say we checked out almost immediately. The hotel manager was there and was NOT accommodating in any way at all! Do Not Stay here! My husband and I travel a lot and we prefer Wyndham, so very very disappointed in this hotel. We ended up staying another 30 minutes further then our destination.

Had a great time with family the stay in Beckly WV the swrvice was great friendly staff clean rooms. A very quiet

We was very pleased with our stay. Rooms was clean, newly painted and carpeted. Beds was not as firm as I prefer, but comfortable. Staff was very courteous. Will definitely use this motel for our next stay in the area.

All amenities weren’t available, urine stains on bed covers, broken furniture, cleaning staff left door ajar on multiple occasions, wrong bed, and generally a state of decay.

The ONLY Ray of Sunshine at this location was the Amazingly Sweet Demeanored Woman who checked me in!! The room was dirty the floors were gross and the NOISE was OUT OF CONTROL!!! I'm not sure if the pandemic has something to do with it but there was screaming children and adults all night with banging on doors and people crying and what sounded like slapping each other.

Price was right. Room was clean, free wi-fy, king bed with love seat pull out, mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee. Unfortunately no “open pool” or breakfast due to the coronavirus
