Hotel Excelsior

The room was spacious and well laid. Some thoughtful details such as a scales, wine glasses, and places for two large suitcases. The staff was very friendly Restaurants within walking distance. The hotel offered a arrange transportation to the airport which was a plus for weary travelers.

The location of Hotel Excelsior is awesome. Only a 5 minute walk from the train station and close to all the main attractions. The staff is very kind and accommodating.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable first visit to Munich. The hotel was centrally located with a supermarket several doors away and the splendid Marion Platz a leisurely block’s walk. The hotel itself is ageing but has a charming character. The staff were very friendly and eager to oblige, language was not an issue. Our room was surprisingly spacious and impeccably clean; regrettably, the weather was quite warm and there was no air conditioning to be had. Consequently, windows had to be left open which meant that sleep was disturbed by the noisy street below. Nonetheless, a pleasant venue that we would happily return to.

The hotel is very nice, but would have liked a little air conditioning. The restaurant attached to the hotel is excellent.
