Crowne Plaza London - Kensington

Good location, comfortable large bed, bathroom small, but fine for a few days stay. Restaurant serves Asian and other menu, breakfast good but would be better if offered freshly cooked eggs. Staff tend to hover to much to take away dishes. Hairdryer didn’t work properly, reported but not changed during our three day stay. Train, bus stop very close and other food outlets and cafe/restaurants.

Very nice room. Enjoyed the hotel and the location- near everything Kensington. Only minor nitpick would be their restaurant. Breakfast items are a bit too British for many guests... limited selection. Scrambled eggs were ok. No pancakes/ waffles... just assorted deli meats, fruits and breads. Coffee from a machine which grinds the beans but not American style coffee- ok but not great. Everything else about the hotel was really good. Would stay there again.

Usually a great stay... but a few issues creeping in! The room, 2 doubles, was smaller than we’ve had before - still a decent size, but with the chair st the desk you couldn’t actually get around to the side of one of the beds. Room service was poor and breakfast in our room annoyingly got bits of the order wrong... nothing major but easy things like ordered brown toast and they sent white, order fruit and fibre cereal and they send Frosties!! Just not paying attention!

The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The staff at breakfast were attentive and welciming.

The location was great and the hotel looked really ood, only thing is the room had such a strong odour that we had to completely spray it when we arrived. We alerted staff to it and they said that they weren't sure what it was and they would freshen the room when we came back. When we came back we opened the door and the smell hit us straight away like it had not been dealt with we couldn't open the window as it had been bolted shut. We then alerted staff again and a colleague came up to spritz the carpet with spray to which it did nothing. We had to stay the night as we could not make alternative arrangements. When leaving we told staff the issue and they said they wouldn't check further customers into the room which annoyed me as I didn't get the same treatment for such a pricey room. It was an uncomfortable stay due to the smell and staff were not helpful but couldn't fault the hotel otherwise. I would return if they were certain I wouldn't be in a room like that one
