Lovely peaceful guest house. Far enough from the main town for peace and quiet, but close enough to walk during the day. The guest house is beautiful, the food is great and the staff are tremendously friendly and helpful. The relaxing pool area is a great place to sit back in the sunshine and watch the local bird life. The staff advised on local whale watching trips and even kindly made the booking for us. Definitely recommend this place.

From the moment we arrived, Julia and Helen provided us with an absolutely outstanding experience. Forty Trees is a luxury boutique B&B not far from the center of Hermanus tucked on a quiet tree-lined street close to the mountain. Our room was wonderfully decorated with super comfortable linens, a large bathroom and a stunning pool and garden for relaxing. We were so pleased with the lovely breakfast served in the morning and really appreciate of the extra mile they went to work with my dietary restrictions. The owner, Julia's, attention to detail and incredible hospitality made it really hard to leave. I would very highly recommend this place for a lovely stay in Hermanus whether on a romantic holiday, traveling with a friend or family or just sneaking off for a solo recharge.

Geweldig guesthouse. Mooie kamers en alles tot in de details klaar. Perfecte gastvrouw, vriendelijk en behulpzaam en alles met smaak ingericht. Ontbijt was fantastisch.
