Hyatt Regency Columbus

Love it!!!

The front desk person was extremely friendly and accommodating. He made me feel comfortable. Room was clean and inviting, especially after a long trip.

Our stay at the Hyatt Regency was a good one....not great though. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean and temp was consistent. Cons: 1)The bathtub/shower was not in the greatest condition. The floor of the tub was textured and you could tell it had turned slightly brown where people stand. 2) I got breakfast from their coffee shop which didn't have a ton of options so I grabbed a to-go thing of Cheerios and bought an orange. I opened the Cheerios and noticed they were heart shaped (In December) which prompted me to check the date. The cereal had been expired since September and the orange was rotten and mushy when I turned it over. I asked the cashier for a new orange and told her I was going to go grab a different cereal. I received a slightly less rotten orange and went to grab a different cereaI only to see that almost every cereal and oatmeal option on the shelves were all expired but I ended up finding a random one that wasn't. I sat at the table and watched her throw away 4 full shelves of expired food leaving only a few oatmeals on the shelf. I understand that due to COVID businesses are slower but for a Regency I thought this was pretty unacceptable to have these issues and couldn't understand how a weekly freshness check was not in place. 3) I was also surprised to find out that our deal did not include parking and it was an additional $20 to park a block away and walk over through the tunnel.

Our room had some sources of concern, first the bathroom walls were dingy, there was a ceiling tile in the bathroom with heavy water staining, and the floor of the shower was gross. Secondly, the top blanket on the bed had some stains (looks like it could have been blood). Then, when we were using the television, the guide and the menu didn’t work (it said channel unavailable) so we ended up watching tv on our phones. Finally, when we checked out we had paid for two nights of parking validation, and when we left the garage it charged us an additional $16. Obviously we noticed the room issues when we first arrived, but I hesitated to say anything because we had already changed rooms once (we were first put in a double room, when our reservation was for a king room). I didn’t want to be “that person,” but after so many issues, unfortunately I couldn’t let it stand. I have reached out to the hotel directly, and all they could do was refund the parking that I paid to them directly (since I booked through Expedia.)

Big hotel since it’s part of the convention center. Bathrooms are small. Since it’s COVID they’re only are operating at 20% capacity, so most of the king bed rooms were not available. The rooms are outdated as well. Paper thin walls. Gym is excellent and the bell hop gentleman Jeff was very friendly!

The hotel and rooms are good. Parking is terrible. We had to walk such a long distance after driving 14 hours late at night. Then, the ice machine was not working.

The front desk service was great ! I had a mic up with my room and she got me together right away the room is nice very clean and the view is everything 😍

The hotel was very nice and clean. You should be very proud of Clariissa, the desk clerk that was on duty Tuesday and Wednesday. I called with a couple of special requests, as I had eye surgery, she saw to it that my request were made.😊. Very helpful and friendly person!!!! Really appreciated all her efforts😊.
