The best restaurants at Marina Bay Singapore range from ultra-luxury rooftop venues serving up haute cuisine to modest hawker stalls that’ll take you back to simpler times. The Marina Bay area is probably the most iconic spot in the city with its incredible views and mesmerising landmarks, so it’s no wonder there are so many great dining options about.

The bay’s development included the awe-inspiring Marina Bay Sands, and many of the restaurants in our list are located in or around this world-famous resort. As with the flavours to expect, our selection has it all: from local Singaporean street food to French fine dining, classic Chinese delicacies to lavish international buffets. Read on to tantalise your taste buds and discover all the great restaurants at Marina Bay in Singapore.

    1

    CUT By Wolfgang Puck

Meat lovers with some cash to splash should look no further than CUT By Wolfgang Puck, located in the Marina Bay Sands resort. As a chef, it’s always a bold (or egotistical) move to include your own name in the title of your restaurant. But many (including us), consider this to be the best steakhouse in town, so Mr Puck more than gets away with it.

Expect only the freshest and finest cuts of beef such as American sirloin, ribeye and filet, as well as Australian Angus and Japanese Wagyu – all cooked to perfection (you won’t find a ‘well-done’ steak here) in some rather swanky surroundings.

    Jaan

Jaan restaurant at the sumptuous Swissotel The Stamford is a consistent fixture in any top restaurants list, both in Singapore and across the Asia region. The restaurant specialises in delicate French flavours and also boasts some great panoramic views of the Marina Bay and Central Business District skyline.

The rather tiny 40-seat venue lays on a five or 7-course set menu, which uses only the finest seasonal ingredients such as fresh oysters, langoustine, caviar, foie gras, and pigeon to name but a few. Note that the nearest station is City Hall, just a short walk away from the Marina Bay area. Reservation is also advised.

    Singapore Food Treats

Set in the shadows of the giant Singapore Flyer, Singapore Food Treats is a retro-style hawker stall with over 600 seats and numerous vendors dishing out food from all corners of the world. The modern hawker centre's quirky theme is complemented by playful vintage props and décor. The food centre serves up affordable and authentic Singaporean, Chinese, Malaysian, and Indian food.

Although actually a replica of a 1960’s-esque hawker market, the venue’s interior looks the part, and its food definitely tastes the part, really taking you back in time to a more classic Singapore. This is also a great budget dining option to hit when you're hungry in the otherwise upscale Marina Bay area in Singapore.

    Summer Pavilion

Summer Pavilion at the swanky Ritz-Carlton-Millenia Singapore presents a dining experience in exclusive surroundings, with food that couldn’t fail to match. Serving a Cantonese-inspired set lunch and dinner, we were particularly blown away by the likes of the marinated duck roll with jellyfish, as well as their double-boiled lobster soup.

Certainly, this is a dining experience that is about as posh as you’ll find in Singapore. You can easily find Summer Pavilion (inside the Ritz Carlton-Millenia) on the famous Raffles Avenue, just a short walk from Promenade MRT.

    Makansutra Gluttons Bay

Bask in the breezy outdoor ambience by the mouth of the Singapore River next to the Esplanade whilst tucking into favourites here such as the fried oyster omelette, satay chicken, and Laksa.

It’s the sights, sounds and smells reminiscent of old Singapore set against a scintillating modern backdrop of the Marina skyline that makes it an unforgettable experience. CE LA VI Restaurant

One of the highest, as well as swankiest restaurants in Singapore, is at CE LA VI, at the top of the Marina Bay Sands complex. Although more famed for its plush nightlife scene that draws in all of the city’s most beautiful people, CE LA VI also does a great range of al la carte dishes – all tasty and pretty enough to take your attention away from that view.

Our favourites include the rack of medium-rare lamb, the sushi sets and there are a few tasty desserts too. Just like the cocktails, most of their dishes fall within the S$15-30 price bracket, although you could easily spend a few hundred if you decide to delve into their extensive range of fine wines. Find CE LA VI in the SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands.

    Palm Beach Seafood

The long-running Palm Beach Seafood restaurant, just a short walk from Singapore’s famous Merlion, is one of the great restaurants in Marina Bay that boasts stunning views that don’t require an elevator ride! The ground-floor only restaurant has inside and outside seating, and you’d be silly not to try their famous ‘Singapore chilli crab’ (Palm Beach Seafood is supposedly where this iconic dish was first created).

Elsewhere on the menu is a variety of prawn, lobster, and shellfish dishes cooked in a variety of Asian-inspired ways. Most meat is priced per kilo and is subject to fluctuation – but Palm Beach Seafood is known to fall into the midrange price category – great when you consider the views and the quality of ingredients.

The Gallerie Food Court at Marina Square

Singapore does have its fair share of rather non-descript, soulless shopping mall food courts; The Galleria on the fourth floor of Marina Square is certainly not one of them. Firstly, the airy and spacious dining space boasts an incredible view over the Marina Bay and CBD skyline in the background – a view you’d normally have to pay top dollar for when combined with dining in Singapore.

Dishes range from around S$4-10 and there is a great selection of local, Malaysian, Thai, Korean, Japanese, Chinese and European food all freshly cooked in front of you. The Galleria is also bright (thanks to the huge windows overlooking the bay), spacious, and conveniently located on Raffles Boulevard, a short walk from Promenade MRT. Avoid peak times (between midday and 2pm) if you want to grab a table by the window.

Lau Pa Sat Food Hawker Centre

In the heart of the financial district, surrounded by the tallest buildings in Singapore you will find Lau Pa Sat, one of the most popular food markets in the city. Come here to try the local delicacies, chicken rice, satay and kaya toast, as well as the other dishes that make up the varied cuisine on offer in Singapore.

Although there are plenty of places to try these dishes, Lau Pa Sat is the ideal location to find them all under one roof, and the setting is far more romantic than most hawker centres, especially at night when the satay vendors set up stalls outside.

    No Signboard Seafood Restaurant

No Signboard is really a quirky name for a restaurant. But this long-established restaurant group is quite a known name among locals, which has 4 locations around Singapore. The Esplanade location accords stunning views of the Bay.

No Signboard counts white pepper crab, chilli crab, crispy cereal crayfish, double boiled lobster, Hokkien-style steamed fish, and garlic steamed bamboo clam among its list of favourites. It’s also a great place to have a meal before a concert at the renowned landmark venues by the bay.

    SuperTree by IndoChine

SuperTree by Indochine is by far the most unique rooftop bar in Singapore – and possibly the world. You can find it on top of the highest SuperTree at the ever-popular Gardens by the Bay. The stylish bar/restaurant serves a menu of Asian and western food, as well as beers, wines and cocktails.

The real selling point of this unique spot is its location. Even though the food, drinks and interior design do all impress, nothing draws away from the fact that you’re perched on top of a giant, manmade tree overlooking Singapore like a bird nesting in the canopies.

    Paulaner Brauhaus

Paulaner Brauhaus in the Millenia Walk building is billed as Singapore’s only German microbrewery. The bar and restaurant serves up genuine German beer and food.

Brewed strictly according to the German purity law of 1516, Paulaner beers are always tapped fresh and in a variety of styles – pale or dark lager and seasonal ones such as Salvator, Maibock, Oktoberfest Bier. The food is equally authentic and robust like the hog roast, pork knuckles and sausages made from recipes in Munich.

    Pollen

Located in a giant bio-dome filled with a balmy Mediterranean climate, Pollen is a unique and charming restaurant in Gardens by the Bay. The layout is spectacular thanks to the huge arching atrium of the Flower Dome all around. One thing is for certain: you’ll feel a million miles away from the centre of a bustling metropolis.

Despite the intricate plating and high-level cuisine served at Pollen, this isn’t exactly fine dining; more like a fancy café serving modern interpretations of pan-Mediterranean classics. The seven-course tasting menu costs upwards of S$150 and includes such delicacies as red prawn tartare, braised beef cheek with carrot puree, and salmon with ikura and green apple. After your meal, you can have a walk around the Flower Dome and enjoy the plants and flowers.

    Bread Street Kitchen Singapore

Gordon Ramsey’s Bread Street Kitchen at Marina Bay Sands presents an informal dining experience alongside modern European food, with signature touches from the multi-Michelin star affiliated chef.

Located in Singapore’s most iconic building – Marina Bay Sands – this was always going to be a classy affair, no matter how much Ramsey claims the whole dining experience is ‘informal’. The snazzy black and white tiled floor, exposed ceiling and comfy leather booths all help to create an exclusive ‘New York loft’ feel, but the good news is that the a la carte menu is actually sensibly priced – a bit of a rarity for celebrity chef restaurants in Singapore.
