Excellent hotel, if you need a place to stay between the flights in case the waiting time is a bit too long to just hang around in the terminal yet too short to go to the city or you arrive at night. We stayed there both at the beginning and at the end ouf our trip and both experiences were really good. First time we gave the hotel our flight info for the complimentary meet and greet service, cause we were warned that the hotel might not be very easy to find inside the terminal. The second time we didn't bother to give out flight info, cause we thought we know the way, but a guy from the hotel was still waiting for us upon arrival to guide us to the hotel. We were really positively surprised.

Marquis is a core value JW Marriott - well organised (never lines for check in or out), well maintained (probably quite new), comfortable (good size rooms and bathrooms) and clean. It is a bit pricey, though nothing exceptional and providing good value for money. Their location is a bit off, about 5-10 mins from nearest metro Business Bay, but they […] provide shuttle to Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa, and taxis are cheap in Dubai. "For the new hotel experiance"
If you're looking for "personlized" service, this hotel is not for you. Hotel staff I came across were dry and impersonal. The room was very good, although I had trouble with the computerized lighting system. But that's just me: I have trouble with anything modern and hip. "Need attention to the service..."
lovely hotel, but during my stay (week over the Xmas and new year) I had to speak to the manger 3 times, all to do the level of service. first call because they did not transfer my child bed (as I upgraded to the suite), second call to do with false claim of by the reception staff of 24 hour available food at the excutive lounge which turned out to […] be not true ( more training needed!) and the thrid time, the room was not cleaned probably and to even after the complain still the cleaning service was not up to our expectation. "A great hotel in a really good location"
This hotel might be the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The location is really close to the Burj Khalifa (walking distance on New Years Eve otherwise a short cab and really close the train) and in general centrally located. The housekeeping was immaculate, they were constantly cleaning the floors, dusting everything, it was amazing. The rooms were […] very large and for a standard room to have a stand alone bath tub and shower (massive rain shower head) is also really nice. The pool area was nice and the staff was great. "Most Awful Staff"
I booked one night here to see the New Year eve celebration in Dubai. To start off, check-in was painful! It took more than 45 minutes. The receptionist (I believe her name was Atun or something like that) was so impolite and not professional. She snatched the passports, photocopied them, tossed them back at me! Not even a Here you are! You don't even […] expect this to happen in a 3 star hotel, not a 5 star one and let alone a big name like the Marriott. Before we arrived, the G.M. promised me in an email an extra bed free of charge. On the Hotels.com booking, I also indicated that I wanted a Smoking Room. Take a wild guess. There was no extra bed, and no Smoking Rooms. I asked politely: "Why? these are in the booking, which was done more than 5 weeks ahead of time" She said, "Don't you know which day is today? It is New Year's Eve!" I didn't want to reply saying, "And you are spoiling it"! Anyway, I talked to the Duty Manager. He promised to send me an extra bed. I had to leave the room, so I told him, when the bed arrives, they can put it there. We came back late after the fireworks, and Yes, it is true. No bed. I called and had to explain the whole story, and the person who answered said: "I will check". One hour later, nothing happened. I called again. A woman told me that there are no more extra beds. I told her -firmly this time- that the G.M and the Duty Manager promised me that. She finally sent one. That was past 3:00 a.m.!! Full of lying and lack of hospitality! "World Class Icon"
The most impressive hotel I have stayed at world-wide. Every staff member that I encountered gave me a warm, welcoming, interested in me attitude that gave the hotel a "personality", that can be described as that of a cool, modern best friend. For example, when I was dining at one of the restaurants, I mentioned to my client how they didn't have a certain […] type of juice on the menu. One of the staff was walking by, who was not assigned to my table, overheard me, and within 4 minutes handed me the juice which she obtained from another restaurant on the other side of the hotel. All without me asking. Another example is how a greeting staff member inquired about my return to the airport. I told him I was going to leave from Abu Dhabi. He arranged a driver to take me all the way there from Dubai, and called the driver's cell phone 5 hours after his shift was finished to make sure I was picked up and on my way! And if you want to get a taxi from the hotel, you are out of luck - because there are no taxis - just a brand new fleet of 25 Lexus sedans that take you wherever you want to go for approximately the same price as a taxi! Finally, the rooms are large, modern, very stylish and quiet. Combined with the other accoutrements, this hotel can brand itself as world-class (and as you'll see - addictive.) The hotel is fairly new and still without the spa is not complete, but the training room is done, has great machines, safety is the best, customer service great. I would rate this hotel 5+. "Great value for money"
The hotel was brand new when I stayed there (1 or 2 weeks old). Everything was in minty condition, except for the A/C fan which made some annoying noises. The staff is nice but can get pretentious as they are trying too hard to be a 5 star luxury hotel but they don't seem to have hired 5 star luxury staff. It requires a different mindset and training. The […] rooms are super spacious with a large bathroom, even though we stayed in the basic guest room. The lobby was very spacious but not cozy at all. Only 44 or 45 floors were commissioned at the time of our stay. Even though the hotel customer service failed to point that out despite that I have asked them if the hotel is completely ready.
