I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during a conference being held at the Convention Center. Lawrence at the front desk immediately set the tone for my... visit w/his warm & cheerful welcome (he remembered me every single day of my stay). The lobby "pops" with bright, inviting, artful decor. Rooms are clean, spacious, & artful as well. The rooftop bar is a fabulous place to take in the city lights at night. The Opening Bell coffee shop across the street has excellent baked goods (donut day is not-to-be-missed) & local music most nights. The restaurant across the other street (ask at the desk, no sign out front) is a true find, a local institution, has world-class cocktails, a great happy hr., & fun food menu. The hotel offered free shuttle service to/from the convention center during my stay & were most gracious about going back and forth, even within a fairly short distance. Cab-fare to other Dallas neighborhoods was reasonable. All in all, I would most definitely stay here again if my travels took me to Dallas & recommend that all conference planners and/or attendees add the NYLO to their list of preferred hotels.
