We really like this hotel and think the food in the restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Clearly a popular local pub with a great atmosphere. Traditional old building so no lift and narrow stairs to rooms. Close but not too close to motorways and Banbury. We really like the rural village feel. A traditional country inn situated in a small village. The room was comfortable, clean and always warm enough. We heard no noise from the bar below. We received a warm welcome and were looked after throughout our stay (3 nights) very well indeed.

We arrived on a wet, windy Saturday afternoon and although they were not open at that time, there were instructions as to how to get into the hotel. In addition, they were quite willing to open the bar for us should we like to have a drink. We ate in the restaurant that night and everything was sparkling clean. We booked a room in this Pub as we were attending a wedding nearby. The room was large, clean and the bed very comfortable. Lunch was superb - probably the best sandwich in the world (freshly cooked ham and homemade bread) and breakfast was delicious. Super pub in a lovely quiet location.
