Great experience! Need to explain where to pick up keys

Booked through Hotels.com. Didn't realize it was through a management company. The company was not located on site. There was NO contact information on the email confirmation ad to whom to contact. I spent 1 1/2 hours finding the office and 10 phone calls. No one available at office and phone numbers on the door went to voicemail.

I unfortunately wasn't paying close enough attention when booking this room. The "service feees and taxes" were TWICE what I paid for the room for one night. IN effect, I stayed for one night and paid for 3. Also - there was nothing to warn me of the fact that if I didn't arrive before 5 pm, I would have to drive to Dillon to pick up my keys. The room was fine. The reservation expereience was not so good. First of all, the address listed for this hotel is inaccurate. We drove to Copper Mountain and looked for 200 Copper Circle. Couldnt' find it so we called the "hotel." What we found out was that we needed to drive 20 minutes back to Dillon to the Rocky Mountain Resort Management offices […] to get our reservation packet including which building we were in and our keys. The reservation confirmation does say that "guests need to check-in at RMRM office in Dillon before going to their property" but it doesn't explain where or how. This information should be more prominent when you book the room and not contained in the fine print. There is no lobby or staff on location so be prepared for that. The room was OK. Very dated looking but so is a lot of stuff at ski resorts. Uncomfortable mattresses and pillows. Not particularly clean either. Looks like the cleaning staff hasn't used edgers or vacuumed under or behind the beds in years. It is in a good location, right in the Center Village. Lisateave

I have been to 46 States and never have I see any thing like this. To begin with you drive to the Hotel to find out that you have to check in, in a different city 10 miles away. The need an entry key for the building and another for the room itself, but you have to go to the city of Dillion to check in and obtain the keys. Upon getting the keys, we […] drove back and find out that the hotel is under construction and you can not enter the underground garage. So, you park further away and carry your luggage to the building, but you have to go a ways because of construction,. Which for a guy like me with bad kneels, is a killer. You get to the room, and I will admit the room is clean, but there is no telephone, no air conditioning, you have a TV but no remote, so you get up everytime you wish to change the channel. You have free coffee and tea but only one cup??? No hotel stationary. You would think, they do not want you to know who owns the hotel!!! If you decided you want to use this hotel here is the most important part. THEY CHARGE YOU 105.5 PERCENT OF YOUR STAY FOR TAX AND SERVICE FEE. When asked, the representative said that the resorts charge more for Tax and Service Fee that is the way it is here at Copper Mountain. Naturally, I check the average resort in Coppery Mountain charges only 20 to 25 % not 105.5%. Don't believe me about this. Try booking reservations for the same day and see for yourself!!! Lisateave

We had to pick up ours room keys in Dillion by 5pm. Which is ok if you plan to get off work early. It was raining when we got there and Copper Mountain was out of power. So we had to climb the stairs with all of our stuff too get to our room. They didn't have much back up lighting in the stairs or hallways. With the village being out of power we went […] into Fristco for dinner. By time we got back power was back on. Beside uncomfortable beds and no air condition we had a good stay. Lisateave

I rarely if ever rate or review anything, but this hotel was so bad I cannot help but speak up. Overall propery was in dismal condition including the room and meager amenities that went with it. No management on site, so when my keys failed to work it took 90 min to solve the problem and get me into my room at midnight. The condition of the building […] and so called comfort of the room was horrible. I will not ever stay nor recommend the "Foxpine Lodge" in the east village of Copper Mountain. My only positive aspect was how well we were treated at the "Double Diamond" restaurant within the building. Lisateave

I attended a scientific conference and chose to stay in a hotel available through hotels.com rather than the conference rooms. This was a fantastic choice. Location was convenient to the conference center. The condo was fabulous - roomy, clean, nicely appointed. The things to do while not in sessions were quite variable and reasonable cost. The room itself was a lovely little apartment with a kitchen, living room, and separate bedroom & bathroom. There was even a small deck with seating & a view of the mountains. Copper One is a good location because of its proximity to the resort's many restaurants, shops, & recreation. The problem I had was with finding the office to check in. I had […] to leave my conference in Copper and drive fifteen minutes up the road to Dillon. I didn't have good directions, so it took me over two hours to get my key and maneuver the maze-like parking garage. The information I had was that check in was no earlier AND no later than 4 P.M. If I could have gotten my keys onhomey my way west to the resort, it would have saved me time AND gas money (provided I'd had a good map). Lisateave

Great view and terrific location. Hotel is older so it doesn't rank high on the categories listed, but would recommend this hotel.

The bed was so hard I don't think I slept for 4 days. The location was great. The hotel room was a 1 bedroom condo in WestLake Lodge Condos in Copper Mtn's center village. The one bedroom looked like it was actual a second bedroom to another condo. No kitchen. Very very small room. Only enough room for 2 people, definitely not 4!
