I find this hotel to be a gem within a ghetto! Great service! Friendly staff! Room was really clean and affordable! The surrounding neighborhood is awful but if this hotel was in a better neighborhood prices would be a lot higher. ( it's the only downfall)

pros: the cost was cheap, staff was friendly, had a free small continental breakfast, tv with cable, rooms were clean enough, down the street from chinatown, towels and cups for 4 people (3 in my group) cons: next to street and i can hear the cars, but i was tired and fell asleep quickly. also able to hear neighbors walk by. shampoo/conditioner was […] 1 small package (not enough). i'll still go back. The room smells really bad--smells like pet urine or oder drinched into the carpet. The pool was too small. Will never stay there again.

You get what you pay for. Don't accept room 319 smell of mold. The staff willingly gave us a different room. Stand were friendly helpful and accommodating. The room we got was good clean and daily cleaning was good.

This hotel received decent reviews, but my experience left me disappointed. The room was crowded. The shower walls were dirty and uncleaned. The carpet was very worn. I will spare you the atrocious details of the pool area. One the good side, the beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean. Didn't stay in the hotel that much mainly just to sleep. Everything was just average nothing made it great or poor. The only bad thing was that my restroom smelled weird like mold or feet, and the breakfast was very cheap. I'll probably book early next time and stay at a days inn or similar. My girlfriend and I recommend this hotel to anyone vacationing in Cali, whether you're going to the beaches, parks or some concert... Clean and nice rooms, comfortable, there is a road next to out window so if you're not a heavy sleeper you may want a room not by traffic... We really liked it, it's modern and clean, good breakfast snacks, nice staff, […] location sucked but the hotel is the only nice thing in the area lol, I say stay there if its under 70 bucks, we paid 74 and it was worth it, we've stayed at 10 nice Vegas hotels and so we've seen the best and worst, this one gets a B+ , won't be disappointed. There is a lot to do and see in LA, so sleeping at the Floral In served the purpose just right.

Hotel was way better than you would expect for that price. And the neighborhood wasn't as bad as everyone saying. 711 is right next door and twice at night we walked there and never felt scared or anything. The parking area is very bright and well lit. Staff very friendly and helpful in any way they can be. Room had huge t.v., fridge, micro, etc. Only […] 2 problems...SOUND! You can hear everything. People walking by, cars, etc....get a room on top floor for maybe a little less noise. Also, the shower temp barely got past warm even though the sink would get hot (i was told this is a first time problem for them & they are looking into it). Also no padding on the bed, but if you like a firmer bed no problem there. Over all for the cheap price youre paying (& free parking) you cant beat this place. Would stay here again if I ever needed to come back. Lisateave

The water was not hot enough in the bath and the roon need more sound proof material-it gets real noisy in the morning from street traffic. Other than that, it stands a good value stay for the money

I had to go on a business trip to LA and we needed to stay in this area, so we decided with my partner that instead of sharing a costly room we can have a room each in a cheaper hotel, so we found out the great reviews this hotel had and gave it a chance. When we got there we were fooled by its looks as it really looked cheap but the rooms were excellent […] for the money NO ODORS, new furniture, cable plasma tv, microwave, fridge atc, the bath room was ok, all in all for the price was excellent, the breakfast had goodies I dont see often in Florida as orange juices and milk by quarters and sliced peaches etc. I really recommend it Lisateave

Convenient to East LA Community College. Hotel was clean and service was helpful and courteous. Breakfast was in cramped lobby area, packaged foods but done well for a quick bite. Hotel rooms not secure but had not problems with our stay.

I thought the hotel was perfect, it served exactly what we needed it to. The direcTV was nice and I was relieved to find that we had our own restroom as the listing stated we only had a sink in our room leading us to believe there were common restrooms. It was a very nice room, ok breakfast but so far away from all we wanted. In a neigborhood, so we had to take taxi to everything. Rent a car if you are going from LAX, it is so much cheaper.

I've stayed 5 nights in the hotel. I got a room with a king bed which is very comfortable and clean. The room has pretty much everything you need: a big LCD TV, a fridge, big mirror, sofa, several drawers, iron, hangers, chair and table, alarm clock, microwave, hair dryer, coffee maker, etc. The only thing that was missing was shampoo which didn't really […] matter, because I had brought mine. Overall, the room was clean; even for someone as picky as me. I just think the shower curtain and the chair weren't that clean. The staff were nice as well. I didn't have much interaction with them, though. The place is rather quiet. The breakfast was really nice for a budget hotel and the Internet's speed was great. They have daily room service too, which starts before noon. The location of the hotel is in a rather safe area where there are mostly Asian people living. and it's close to bus stops for going to downtown LA and other places. Lisateave

The place looks pretty standard for an inexpensive hotel on the outside. The rooms are very nice however. There was a large flat screen TV, a comfy chair, a desk with a roller chair in the room I stayed in. The rooms shades were nice and the bed wasn't trashy.

I thought the hotel was nice & clean, staff was nice & courteous. the only thing that they can improve on was when asked for a list of surrounding restaurants they should have told us it was only 2 blocks away.....walking distance....if we would have know that we would have walked to eat a nice meal instead of ordering pizza.....

The neighborhood is not all that bad. The hotel is brightly lit and a very safety conscious design. All rooms open onto a catwalk and courtyard. Desighn makes for a lot of echo and noise, however I'll take that to feel safe. parking is not sufficient and most spaces are under the raised building. Clearance is 8'. Typo on the site says "shared bathrooms" […] which is not the case, you have a private bathroom. Rooms were nothing fancy with bad drywall patch jobs, however everything was clean and in good working order. I would stay here again. Lisateave

Good location, decent breakfast, great service, but lacking in cleanliness. Bedsheets didn't seem to be changed and stains on towels.
