We loved getting up in the morning and looking at view of the ocean. the convenience of everything was near by. The room was very clean. the convenience of everything was near by. We would go back again in a heartbeat.

Room was very clean, the only negative is how thin the walls are so you can hear your neighbors pretty clearly. Luckily our neighbors weren't too noisy after 11pm! Reception staff in the morning were lovely, really friendly, cheerful and helpful.

Overall a nice place to stay. We have a family of 6 and don't like booking separate rooms. The 2 bedroom suite was roomy for all of us. Two of us did not enjoy the beds while the rest had no complaint. Only notable issue would be the lack of hot water (just don't take a long shower).

We have stayed at the same place for several years going to Ogunquit. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Our rate for a two bedroom efficencly is more than reasonable.

There were just a couple strange things I couldn't explain. When opening the soap, it was already a little damp. The counter was dry, so what happened? The towels in the bathroom were also just damp enough to notice. The bathroom was tiny. Barely enough room to take a step. Absolutely no WiFi, despite the claim. They may want to make sure it reaches […] all their rooms. i was surprised to find a small fridge and microwave. Very nice. Friendly people and a good location, but I won't return. Lisateave

Save ur money or invest a few more bucks for a place more than just to sleep in. I m afraid to take a shower because the place was ragged. Water faucet is not even working good.

Location outstanding - right near ocean in quaint Main town of Ogunquit. Decor of hotel still original 50's or 60's drab. A tad expensive for what it was. A basic, drive up to the door, motel on the water. To refer to included breakfast is a misnomer. It is a box of doughnuts, boxes of cereal, coffee and juice. All self-serve. Misleading.

We had a wonderful stay at Colonial Village. The staff was more than willing to answer any of our questions and accomodate us in any way possible. The rooms were more than ample in size and immaculate. We were within walking distance of nearby restaurants. I would definitely stay there again.

We booked online and paid about $100. We were pleasantly surprised. The ocean is basically behind the property.

Having booked it "blind" we were very pleased with the room assignment for our stay over the Laour Day weekend. Staff were courteous and helpful with information and service. The entire facility was well-maintained, including the Olympic size outdoor pool. the bathroom the fan was replaced by a hole in the ceiling. the tub was all stained not the cleanliness looking tub, should be replaced. the sink needed to be clean. which I did. the bedroom the bed was not be bad. the complete room need a good scrubbing.

Only stayed for 1 night but desk staff very friendly checking in & out. Did not use any of the amenities available due to the short stay. Found it unusual to have a knock at the door at 9 AM asking if we needed room service when check out was at 11 AM, would think they know which guests would be leaving

The hotel was pretty decent, location was very good, the grounds were maintained acceptable, and it was pretty quiet; mostly couples and some families ~ We would definitely stay at the Colonial again ~

Rooms were okay. A bit dark and cramped. There was no computer access although it was advertised. Breakfast was not adequate; just a bunch of donuts and bad coffee. Pool was very cold.

It was the perfect place for a family with a 20 month old. The staff was friendly and helpful. The morning donuts were a great hit! And the location was central to the beach and downtown strip. I would stay again.

The Colonial Resort was disappointing at best. While the staff seemed pleasant and the linens appeared clean, the overall upkeep was poor. The rooms had a musty odor and the furnishings were poorly maintained, making it feel "dirty." It desperately needs updating. Additionally, the amenities fell way below standards. The water in the indoor swimming […] pool was cloudy and not the usual color of pool water. The outdoor pool water left a sticky film on my son's hands; I did not let him swim in either pool. The grounds and the building are starting to show their age. Almost everything needs some updating. Cleanliness and staff were OK, but disappointed from what the website presented. Will consider another stay, but have taken many names of nearby motels in the same area for future pricing and availability.

It is a good hotel if you are on a strict budget. However, I would personally not stay there again unless there was nothing else available. It is dated, the walls are thin, the t.v. was in the awkward little living room area instead of the bedroom. The furniture was cheap, the bathroom was tiny. The cleanliness was just okay. There is a nice size pool […] and hot tub but the fence around the pool is cheezy looking and it is not well lit on the evening. The front desk staff was helpful. Lisateave

Good value for the money. We made a last minute decision to go away for a long weekend. We were pleasantly surprise by the Colonial Village. Will plan on coming back the next time we go to Maine. We had a very nice continental breakfast, the doughnuts were so good, we had to find out where they came from so we could bring some home with us.

I booked this hotel for my mom and I last minute and she has some mobility issues, which I asked to have a room on the ground floor because of that. They accommodated us with the best possible room, on the first floor and less than 6 feet away from the pool and 10 feet away from the breakfast room. The location is fantastic, it is 15 minutes away from […] the Maine diner which is superb eats and it is literally 5 minutes away from parking for Footbridge beach. It is only about 10 minutes to Ongunquit beach and even shorter time to down town. I would book this hotel again and can't wait to come back again. Lisateave

This hotel was a short walk to downtown and about a 1 3/4 mile walk to Perkins Cove along Marginal Way, so if you are up for a hike, you won't have to pay for parking at the Cove. We went Mother's Day weekend , so it had just opened and the continental breakfast was pretty sparse, but I'm not a big breakfast eater so it was ok with me.Another couple who came there often said it was better in the summer.The view was great of the tidal river and sand dunes and if you hit it right you could cross over the river to the beach at low tide. Otherwise ,you just had to go down the road maybe 10 minutes to the other foot bridge to get to the beach, which was awesome.We would definitely come back Lisateave

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. After reading previous reviews we expected an older hotel but were happily surprised at how nice it was. The room was spacious and it was wonderful to have the kitchen with a full sized refridgerator. The only draw back was that we didn't find out about the hot tub that was working outside by the pool until the morning […] we left. It was a super nice tub and would have preferred using that one over the one in the indoor pool. Especially the last night because it wasn't hot. Just wished that the staff had informed us about it. Very large and convenient rooms. much larger than the regular size and contain refrigerator, oven, micro and other kitchen facilities. nice indoor swimming pool and private access to the sea (but don't rent kayaks ... The Colonial Village Resort was getting ready to close for the season, so that may explain why there were some problems, particularly in the bathroom. The faucets were difficult to operate - they were on wrong, so when you thought you were turning on the cold, you were actually turning on the hot. The bathtub didn't drain when we showered, and as a […] result, we showered in practically knee deep soapy water. The shower head could not be adjusted, and consequently, water spewed everywhere. When one of the other rooms flushed the toilet, the cold water became non-existent for a few seconds and a couple of times I got a little burned. The location is very convenient, and again, the room was clean and the staff was very cordial. But I probably would not stay there again. Lisateave

This was the first place I have stayed which did NOT have soap or shampoo or any other bathroom items. There was a bathroom fan but, not a switch to turn it on. Notes on wall in kitchen states cost for missing dishes and the total count of dishes in question which did not coinside with what was in cupboard. Cups were in need of bleaching. On door is […] sign, if smoking in room, 150.00 fine. The sign that was supposed to be on dresser was behind dresser along with tissue box and dust bunnies too. Makes one think the room was set up for a smoker to smoke and they would be able to charge the fees for that along with the missing dish charge. It would be your word against theirs. I was worried and asked about the dishes and sign behind the dresser. They said was this a king bed room? Then, stated that oh that is okay. Not a comfortable feeling. Things need to change at this place before I would recommend it to anyone. Lisateave
