The hotel and staff were great. DO NOT pre-pay for breakfast. It actually would have cost less at the hotel than the add-in rate for the room and it took us well over an hour to get breakfast. The air didn't work, you could hear every step like a stomp and the tv only played regular channels in espanol or they were muted. We were offered a "free" breakfast at the hotel resturaunt, which was a joke! It was worse than a continental breakfast! We stayed for a couple of days and really enjoyed our stay. The area is quite with a nice indoor heated pool. The breakfast portions were large and very tasty. I strongly suggest you purchase the breakfast included option if you plan on eating breakfast. It can be a little expensive. The distance to downtown San Antonio was not that bad but rush hour […] traffic can be a pain. Felt like I was back at home in Houston, TX. Wished that it was cheaper. I used the Hotels.com rewards to offset the cost of the room which made it better and more affortable. Room and beds are awesome but it is a shame you have to spend a lot of money on hotels just to get one that is good inside.ju

Overall, this is a good deal. Staff was friendly although they let the line back up at check-in. It has a modern feel but cut some corners on decor but good enough for a weekend. One annoying thing was that our fire alarm battery was going out and we had to call staff to repair it in the morning.

We loved the hotel except we were woken up at 5:30 in the morning with a fire alarm going off. When I went down 2 hours later, I found that it was just the battery that needed to be changed. Maybe this should be a regular scheduled maintance item.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property itself is in excellent condition and we found the front desk staff to be super-friendly and super-helpful. Also found the restaurant to be good and well-priced. We will definitely stay here again.

Stayed here with my spouse and our two teenage sons. Full breakfast was for two people only even though reservation was for four people. Television worked barely for tv and did not work for movie selections at all. Staff could not fix problem, could not replace tv set up or change our room to one where everything worked. It was a good hotel I was pleased but the only thang I did not like was the restaurant diner minue sucked and breakfast was alright but there was a kid working there and was the worst waiter but ather than that me and my wife and kids were pleased the kids loved the pool

The hotel was very nice, very comfortable rooms, spot shining cleaniness, the only thing I could mention was that they were short of people to attend breakfast on the second day, they did take a considerable time to get breakfast ready, the service was not so good.

I stay at Holiday Inn's often and recently I have found that they all are in excellent condition and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. I will not stay anywhere else when traveling.

I would expect more from a major chain hotel that on the surface appears to offer all the amenities. However, there were two major complaints that went unnoticed and unaddressed by the hotel staff. First, neither the hotel's food service shop NOR any of the several vending machines had bottled water. There was no apology or explanation as to how this […] might have occurred. Second, when I was downstairs at 6:45 am in the restaurant, I stood for a full eight minutes at the entrance - and there was NO waiter or personnel to seat and serve me. There were three other tables dining, and one of them even made a joke about me being invisible and yelled towards the back of the restaurant, but there was no response. Since I was in a hurry and could wait no longer, I sat down in the lobby, where the front desk personnel had no explanation as to why I was not sat for breakfast. (As I was standing there, I saw two servers emerge from behind a partition, clearly they had been talking and not paying attention to the front of the house, but by then it was too late.) It's very possible I just caught this hotel on a bad day, but for such a large space, it was very sparsely attended to in terms of both wait staff and front desk personnel. And the lack of water is just weird. Lisateave

The only complaint I have is that the reservation was for a room with 2 beds and I was given a room with 1 bed. This was immediately remedied by the desk clerk. My granddaughter and I ate breakfast at the restaurant. The menu was limited and for the price, I was unimpressed by the food. Service was good.

To begin with I checked the reviews at hotels.com before booking this hotel. The family gets away for a night or two every month like a little mini vacation if you will. The hotel as shown in the pictures and videos is not accurate. We like to use the pool and it looked pretty big in the picture but if there would of been 10 people in the pool you wouldnt […] of been able to move. So that was disappointment #1. When we got to the room I was putting away some soda and there were half empty gatorade and soda bottles in the fridge and crumbs on the floor. Disappointment #2. So look past it, the hotel has a lounge, after we we're done swimming at about 9:30 pm we were going to the lounge but it closed on Saturday at 10 pm. Disappointment #3. Good thing they had a store near by. LOL. In the morning we went to make some coffee and the coffee maker was broken, we went down to the lobby to find some coffee.......nope it's $2.00 a cup. After I mumbled I will never stay here again someone brought us each a cup of coffee. The breakfast if you paid extra for it was a voucher for 20.00 well when you have 4 people 20.00 does not go far for breakfast. Especially when a bowl of oatmeal is 4.95 so needless to say we left without eating the "free" breakfast. That only cost me an additional 14.00 during check-in. The hotel was clean for the most part and the staff was polite. The sun deck was a complete disarray. We took the stairs to go outside and when we opened the door we found baby cribs, boxes, pictures......I thought I was in a storage room............Well I stay at San Antonio hotels quite a bit and this one I will not go back to. We had read reviews and knew the hotel was newer and it met all of our expectations. The king size bed was very comfortable and the room was a good size. we liked that there was a mini-fridge in the room to keep our drinks and left-overs cold. It is quite a distance from Sea World but we also knew that and were not bothered by it since we had a rental […] car. This hotel was built in 2010 and is modern in style with new fittings, beds, etc. It was very quiet and set back some way from the main road. We had a good breakfast, but did not eat other meals there so cannot comment on the restaurant or bar. It was nice to have the whole hotel non-smoking.

excellent hotel - very convenient if you are looking for a perfect clean hotel with amanities. It is 15 minute drive to river walk. why pay double/triple to some old hotels which also charge for parking. Definitely will stay in this hotel next time when in san antonio.

Hotel location is a little tucked away from the loop, but not too hard to find. Just keep yours eyes open for the hotel entrance sign if you're coming off loop 1604. Hotel is about 9 months old, so it has an updated, modern look. Room was clean. Had a double queen room. Room was a bit small, but it worked for a short stay. Beds are raised so it's difficult […] for little ones to get on and off the bed. Beds were comfy with choice of firm or soft pillows. Indoor pool and hot tub was nice. Key access is required to get in so don't forget your room key. Room service food was average. Cost a bit high for food quality and portions received. Room service is offered only at certain times so make sure you know the hours if you plan on using this service. Free wifi is available. Signal was a bit weak, but it worked okay. This hotel was in a great location, just a few minutes from shopping, eating and San Antonio zoo! Great place to stay! Rooms were very clean, staff were extremely courteous and professional! Would recommend this hotel to anyone! Great, great place!!!!
