"Secon Home Cuzco, indeed!"
Carlos, the owner and his staff, Victor and can't recall the name of the wonderful cook, but, they were all super friendly and extremely helpful. We stayed there two nights with our two kids. It felt like a place where you were among friends. We had a great time exploring the sites of the city and enjoying some authentic dishes at some of their recommended […] restaurants. The included breakfast was delightful with the fresh baked breads that were brought in along with the home cooked breakfast that was made to order. He provided us with a taxi to the airport in Cuzco. "Excellent Bed & Breakfast - Highly Recommended"
My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days. We had a great experience here from the moment we arrived at the airport in Cusco. The hotel had arranged for a cab (complimentary) and the driver was on time. Carlos, the owner of the bed & breakfast was extremely nice, accommodating, and helpful. We felt right at home here. The hot breakfast every […] morning was wonderful. This was a great place to relax before we headed to Machu Picchu. We would definitely recommend this bed & breakfast to all of our friends. We felt very at home in this beautiful B&B. Carlos and his entire staff were very welcoming and helpful. Someone greeted us each time we entered the home and helped us with anything we needed. "Second Home - aptly named"
We stayed here twice for 4 nights total, on our trip to Machu Picchu. Best place we stayed all trip by far. Easy walk to the town center and eateries. Breakfast is good. The manager will arrange airport pick-up. Wifi is provided at no charge. Staff are all friendly and efficient. Just a really neat B&B. My fiance and i stayed with Carlos at 2nd Home Cusco on both sides of our visit to Machu Picchu. Carlos took great care of us while there including arranging transportation to/from airport and train station and recommending restaurants, things to see, etc... We stayed in two different rooms and both were well appointed and comfortable... Breakfast was […] excellent and the Coffee was as good as we had anywhere in Peru during our 11 day visit... I don't normally write these reviews unless the service was exceptional, but I can state assuredly that Second Home Cuzco is a terrific place to stay. "Not bad"
The owner, Carlos, and the rest of the staff are very helpful. He helped us book a last minute tour, and gave us tea to help with altitude sickness. He also arranged for us to get picked-up from the airport, and it didn't matter that we arrived several hours before check-in. The room itself was not bad, the bed was comfortable. It is a 2-3 star accomodation […] though so don't expect a glamorous hotel, but for the price we paid, definitely no complaints. The service was definitely good. Lisateave

Wow! What a great experience! Carlos the owner picked us up from the airport in a private car. We talked for the 15 minute ride and Carlos's English was perfect. We got the run down on the city and the altitude sickness we soon experience. We got to the B&B and it was beautiful! He made us cocoa tea, took our bags to our huge room with private sitting […] area. Set up tours and recommended restaurants. He did everything and more. "A nice jaunt up the hill at the end of the night,"
but a kewl place to stay. OK, the day I arrived the ceiling had collapsed on the room intended for me due to torrential rains the day before, but, hey these structures are 200 to 300 years old in most cases, so that is to be expected. The alternate room I was given was great, with a small kitchen, and both the TV and Internet (in room and free) were […] great. The owner was very hospitable, spoke multiple languages (we spoke German and English in addition to Spanish. He was discreet..when he knew that I really did not want to talk to the American tourist couple at breakfast, he did not bust me and followed my lead to speak only in Spanish. Breakfast was actually the best that I had in Cusco, eggs to order, plus great coffee and freshly delivered bread. The guy knows his stuff. It is easy and close to get to the main Plaza (don't forget to hit the corner store to pick up cheese, wine, meats and bread for snacking), but it is a long walk up the hill back when you are not acclmatized to the altitude. Drink lots of coca tea which is available on demand in this little hotel. I'd go back again. Lisateave

Clean, friendly and a spacious - comfortable beds, pillows and rooms with attention to detail. The owner takes care of details and goes out of his way to help with travel plans. Cuzco is wonderful and so is Second Home Cusco.

Our host Carlos was very accommodating. He spoke very good english and helped us with some tours we had arranged. They provided a free airport shuttle service, picking us up and dropping us off at the airport. The room was quite spacious and very clean and light. The bathroom was very modern and had a great shower with good water pressure and no problems […] with hot water running out. The breakfasts provided were very nice. Beautiful room, very friendly and helpful staff. One important nit: Tell cab driver to take you to end of Marino Alto. (It was not named on the Google Maps page).
Outstandingly helpful owner and staff. Rooms seem to have suffered a little water damage in some ceiling areas; however, this is not too problematic. Beware low lintels!!!! The area is a little removed from the centre of Cusco, but that is part of the charm - it is quieter. The altitude can make itself noticed as you walk uphill to Second Home - take […] it slowly. Like all the other reviews, after our trip to the jungle, we welcomed the warm shower! the accomodations were clean, modern, safe (in fact there's a police officer on their street) and great! truly felt like our second home. highly recommend and great value and good location - close to the plaza de armas - about 4 blocks away

"Amazing experience!"
My best friend and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. Our flight came in at 7am and even though it was very early, Carlos still arranged our airport pick up and we were able to have breakfast and check in to our rooms! "Perfect Cusco Hotel"
This hotel really felt like my second home. The property was well taken care of, the staff couldn't have been nicer, and it felt like a private home. There are only 4 rooms, so book early! I thought the location was perfect -San Blas is a quick walk from the main square, but slightly removed so that you don't feel like you're in tourist central. A […] friend and I spent two nights in Cusco (different hotel -this one was booked), did 6 days of treking and rafting in between, and then returned to Cusco and stayed at Second Home Cusco before flying to Lima. The hot shower and home-like hotel was just what we needed after a week of camping. The hotel was also very nice and let us leave our stuff at the hotel for the week we were gone -and it was already in our room when we arrived for our stay. The breakfast the next morning was wonderful -fresh eggs, breads, etc. We had a chance to chat with the owner who was charming and gave us some great suggestions for the remainder of our trip. "Quaint B&B near enough to everything"
Carlos, the homeowner, is a wonderful host and has years of experience running a B&B in New York City. Free pick-up and drop-off at the airport saved us at least $5 each way. The uphill walk up from tourist-central Plaza de Armas takes about 10 minutes and may not be the most convenient on the first day for acclimating to Cuzco. "The best!"
This is absolutely the nicest hotel I have stayed in. It is small and very personal. The attention to detail is unmatched. Forget the Monastery - save your money and stay here.
"Charming w excellent service"
Loved this place - service was warm and inviting, help with travel, shopping and breakfasts at our leisure - inside was charming, but be sure you take a map as cabs don't all know where it is. Recommended a great restaurant (cicciolina's) nearby. Value here was much better than a hotel, but not good for large group (only 3 suites).

Love the hotel. We had the patio room which was very comfortable. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Little trouble with fluctuating shower temperature but not unbearable. The owner and the staff were extremely helpful. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit Cusco. One word of caution, accessing this hotel does require a little uphill […] hike up some pretty steep stairs. "Excelent hotel in beautiful neighbourhood in Cusco"
This is a beautiful colonial house in an old part of town. Personnel are very helpful; they arranged the machu picchu trip for us which was perfect and recommended us places to visit in Cusco.

"Fräscht hotell med bra läge"
Second home Cusco drivs av den väl engelskspråkiga Carlos och har endast tre rum/sviter. Hotellet ligger 5-10 minuters gångavstånd från plaza Armas i den kanske vackraste stadsdelen i Cusco. Området känns nästan lite "gamla stan", med mindre gator och sparsamt med trafik. Lite negativt är kanske att bussar inte kan köra fram till hotellentren, så när […] vi skulle bli hämtade för inkaleden fick vi gå 5-10 minuter... Carlos och hans anställda är mycket hjälpsamma och fixar allt ifrån tvätt, lånedator och bokning av turer, till kapning av våra gångstavar så vi kunde få med de hem i bagaget. Frukosten kändes rejäl; Ägg på valfritt sätt, yoghurt flingor, juice mackor croissant kaffe/te. Lite smolk i bägaren är att internetuppkopplingen var lite skakig, på rummet var det dålig täckning, men även bredvid routern var upload-kapaciteten i modem-klass, duger till att kolla email/facebook.
