Dragsvik Fjordhotel - Balestrand

This little hotel is beautifuuly situated to access multiple outdoor activities. The view from the breakfast room over the Sognfjord is breathtaking. The rooms are clean, linen spotless and very comfortable. No TV though but then again quite a nice change. The lounge areas have Tvs and enjoying a drink int he lounge or outside is relaxing. They offer […] a hot dinner which looked lovely but we had chose to find something locally in Balestrand. Free WiFi (which must be the norm in Norway) makes it easy to plan your next day, write a blog or just email the family some pics bragging about your holiday. Lisateave

This hotel is a converted farm - it is NOT 200 m from the express ferry dock in Balstrand - it is about 10 kil. away - there was another couple on our express boat from Bergen and there was no way to get to the hotel - The bus does go past the hotel but infrequently. Luckily, a waiter at the hotel's restaurant came over to pick us up. If you want seclusion […] and quiet, this is your place! Lisateave

The hotel is very well located, about 300 feet from the ferry dock (Hella-Dragsvik ferry), and about 5 miles from Balestrand. It is easy to park the car in front of the hotel. The hotel is simple, without any luxury, but the rooms were clean, and the internet service was excellent. Rooms are spartan. Breakfast was good. Overall, it is ia reasonable […] hotel, especially considering that there are just 3 hotels in that area, and is not easy to find accomodations. Lisateave

My friend and I were in need of a hotel on a journey from Bergen to Oslo. This hotel was in our price range but slightly off course. Not a problem. We were met at the ferry. A bus stopped just feet away from the front door for trips back to Balestrand. The breakfast was included and wonderful. Our room was the best of all. It was like our own home away […] from home. We made 2 excursions within walking distance to two delightful places. One was a woman who works in ceramic and the other was a tour of a doll makers creations. What memories. Lisateave

Ett utrolig koselig hotell med sognefjorden på begge sider. fantastisk utsikt fra matsalen.. høy standard på rommene og trivelig betjening gjorde oppholdet perfekt. trivelig priser .

Unser Zimmer hatte Jugendherbergscharakter (3. Etage)). Die unteren Zimmer scheinen jedoch renoviert zu sein. Im Bad roch es beständig nach Fisch. Grund dürfte im Bad ein Abzug gewesen sein, der die Küchendüfte herein ließ. Punkten kann das Hotel allerdings mit seinen Ausblicken vom Restaurant ( Panoramafenster zum Fjord). This hotel had definitely everything hoped for, and more. The location was great as it was so close to the ferry docks to see other parts of the Sognefjord, or just continue driving on the road 55 which in itself is worth a trip to Norway! Balestrand is about 8 kilometers from the hotel, so no problem to buy grosseries if you have a car. The hotel personnel […] was incredibly nice, always smiling and calm, and they even prepared me a big to-go breakfast since I had to leave before the usual breakfast time. Wireless Internet worked like a charm, and the mini-fridge in the room was a nice addition to keep food cool. For the money this hotel costs, you will have everything you need, and a little more :) Lisateave

Var ikke mange gjester på hotellet da jeg var der i oktober, men servicen var upåklagelig. Stilte opp som om jeg var en gjest hjemme hos dem og ikke på hotell. OK mat og stort og fint rom. Veldig nær fergekaia dersom man skal videre mot Sogndal eller sørover. Flott utsikt fra rommene og fra spisesalen.
