The rooms were very spacious and the kitchenette was a big plus; however the entire third floor had a musty smell including our room. The location is relatively covenient, but you do have to cross a major street to get to the historic downtown.

It was a great weekend getaway. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The location worked out to be just right for our walking adventure. The elevator broke down twice in 24 hours. We had to carry our bags down the stairs, this was the only "thing". I will go back there again. Say hello to Germain, he and his coworker in Valet parking were super.

This a unique properly. Even the woman at the front desk said it's the only Residence Inn of it's kind. The place is tucked off the main road behind a gas station, so it kind of feels like your going off to your own secret honeycomb hideout. There is a new-consturction brick building in the front, and then super-secret kitty cottages in the back with […] their own entrances. The cottages and main building wrap around a small courtyard with a modern looking pool and fire pit. I got an amazing deal on a one-bedroom suite, and it was wonderful. It had a great fully equipped kitchen. The only room available at my check in time was a cottage unit, which turned out to work out great. There is even street parking right outside the cottages, so you would be steps away from your car if you had one. Excellent location. The breakfast was just ok, but I'm a finiky kitty when it comes to food. Overall a great experience and one of my better hotel stays ever. Everything was super clean and well designed and felt very new (but without the new carpet smell, thank goodness). Highly recommend. There is a grocery store a few blocks away, but it's in the process of closing out. I recommend the deluxe Kroger... which is a bit of a hike, but you get to see the lovely scenery of Forsyth Park. Stayed 2 nights over New Years. Very happy with stay the staff was wonderful. The staff went out of their way to help us. A free dot shuttle stops in front of the hotel and runs through out the city. The hotel is on the edge of the historic distric but I felt the area was quiet and within walking distance of the market area and historical area.

Though I wished they had cleaned the corners of the rooms, the employees were the NICEST and most helpful people we have met during our travels. This is a dog friendly hotel. Not only was everyone friendly to us, they were wonderful with our pet. We'd stay again without hesitation.

This was a wonderful dog-friendly hotel. It's very clean and modern and the employees are so nice and helpful. We would definately stay there again.

My daughter and I checked in late and were "upgraded" to a 1 bedroom studio, which I found to be claustrophobic and depressing. The wall separating the bedroom from the living space just made two very narrow rooms. It was also listed as a handicapped room and the furnishings were bland and sparse. I did not like the room at all and should have asked […] to see it before I checked in since it was not my original booked room. However, I did call and asked to be moved and the next morning I was moved to a lovely open King studio. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was great! The pool area is pretty and has a fire pit which was lovely. I'm familiar with Savannah as my daughter attends school there and I think this location is great! Only a few blocks to city market. Will definitely stay here again. Lisateave

We were very satisfied with this Residence Inn. It was neat and clean and in a very convenient area.

We were very happy we chose this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location, within walking distance to City Market, Bay and River Streets. The pool area was neat and hot breakfasts were yummy. All in all, a great place to stay! Be sure to check out The Distillery across the street!

From the moment we checked in, the staff were Super-Friendly and Helpful. We adored the desk attendant who checked us in, the maid who cleaned our room, the bartender who presided over happy hour, and the attendant who brought our car around at the end of our stay. This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in, and I've traveled around the world. It is clean, modern, bright, and equipped with everything you need. The staff was so friendly - they really represent the best of southern hospitality! Complimentary breakfast and happy hour were both great, too. I will definitely come back!

We stayed at the Residence Inn for a few nights. The room was amazing!!!!!! So comfortable and nice. I was very happy. It was a few blocks down from the historic area and there was not a whole lot around it although the visitors center is right nearby. I would definitely reccommend the hotel to anyone going to Savannah.

Very close to the Visitor's Center. We walked everywhere and really enjoyed this hotel. The courtyard is beautiful and breakfast was good.

My stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott wasn't what I expected, it exceeded my expectations. I was greeted with a smile. My room was spotless and the room service was so friendly and courteous. I will not complain at all about my stay at the Residence Inn, I enjoyed it very much, however, hotels.com messed up my reservation. I requested a double bed and all this hotel has available are king beds. Unless you get the two room suite which I could not afford.

I wasn't all too excited originally to be staying at this hotel, seeing as it was a price jump from another that I was looking at. However the use of a kitchen and the fact that it was withing walking distance from the riverfront ended up winning me over and I forked over the extra money. It was the best choice I could have made. Not only was the staff […] kind, but on more than one occasion they went out of their way to make sure that my stay was an exceptionally pleasant one. They knew quite a bit about the surrounding area and where was a good place to go to eat and even where the cheapest groceries could be found. hey didn't even put up a fuss when at eleven at night I came down to ask for a chief's knife because I couldn't find one in the room. The stay was well worth the money, not only that but the hotel itself is very beautiful, and not once did I hear any of the people in the adjoining rooms. Lisateave

Don't be fooled by this hotel's modest exterior! The room was beautiful, the courtyard has a great ambiance and the staff is the most accommodating of any hotel I've stayed at. The complimentary breakfast is excellent. Everyone was as pleasant as can be and they were even nice to our dog, who was traveling with us! The hotel is in a great location. The shuttle takes you all around the historic district. Hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. From the Valet to the breakfast attendents, they were the best.

This hotel was absolutely perfect. Stayed in a two room cottage with a full kitchen. Decor and cleanliness was great. Hotel is charming and the courtyard is fabulous. Courtyard has heated pool, firepit, fountain, and comfortable seating. Didn't hear a peep from any of the rooms near us. Hotel staff is the most friendly I have ever encountered. The Residence Inn provided us everything we needed for our weekend get away to Savannah. Friendly service. Fantastic, clean, spacious rooms. Exceptional breakfast. Quiet surroundings but close enough to walk to the heart of historic downtown. When we return we will be staying here!

My husband and I just went here for one night. We loved the hotel and the staff was very friendly. They had a great breakfast buffet. They only problem we had was with our sheets. The King sized sheets were put on incorrectly so when one of us laid down, the fitted sheet would pop up. We had to take all of the sheets off and re-make the bed. This was […] probably just a little mistake, but was bothersome. Overall, great place to stay. Only ten blocks from River Street. Lisateave

It was a runaway from home trip for me and my girlfriend we had a great time away from our normal lives and the bed was very comfortable we slept so good way better than at home

As evaluated everthings was very good except for the "Petfriendly" part, when I registred for the room I had to pay a fee which was the most expensive ever paid for our small under 16 lbs. Pug, at other hotels I have paid from $10 -50 and here it was zwice as expensive, even4- 5 stars hotels in Miami and Tampa charge less.

Really nice, clean hotel. I was in town for a concert at the civic center and the hotel was in walking distance. Very, very, clean. You have to use valet to park. Also, the air-conditioning didn't work very well in my room. Overall, a very good experience, though. I'd definitely stay here again.

The price and the location cannot be beat. The Inn is about a ten minute walk through the Historic District to the river. Since the hotel is new, it is very nice, clean, and well manaaged. Breakfast was great, with eggs, sausage, grits, biscuits, fruit,etc..... Warning, though: they charge $12 a day to park (on street parking is iffy). Also, I was billed […] twice, once through Hotels.com and again by the hotel. They fixed it, but I had told them not to do this, after reading a review on this site. Overall, a terrific deal. We have stayed at a lot of hotels I US and this is absolutely one of the best. Charming atmosphere, clean and spacey suites with well equipped kitchenette. Staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel is a few minutes’ walk from the historic district. During our stay it was easy to find a free self parking lot around the hotel.
