"A 5 star Hotel"
A truely 5 star hotel in Medan with good services and fine food. Will definitely stay there for my next visit.
"Great value"
The room was clean and very comfortable, much better than other hotels in Medan that I have stayed in. Only there one night, so did not do much than sleep and have breakfast, but the breakfast was worth the stay alone. Great value.
"27th Heaven"
My family and I stayed at the JW Marriott Medan for four nights at the end of August. The hotel is very new and security is tight ( rightly so due to the bombing of the Jakarta Marriott.) However, every check was carried out with courtesy and smiles all round, so this made them much more easy to handle. The hotel is great, very luxurious... We loved […] our rooms on the 27th floor and by day 2, everyone knows your name. The staff were very obliging, from the reception desk to the housekeepers and on a day that I left a note for an extra bottle of bath gel, I returned to find four :) The little receptionist Dessy was very efficient in helping me check on specific tour rates and went out of her way to accomodate several requests that were not the hotel's usual practice. Breakfast ends at 10.30 pm daily, but even though we were trailing in at 10.15 daily, the F&B staff were always pleasant, smiling and ready to serve us even though we had exceeded their cut-off point. The hotel has an excellent spa of its own, but unfortunately, there was no brochure of services/prices in our rooms. It would have been good to have a leaflet mentioning hotel facilities e.g restaurants, spa, gift shop etc as we would have liked to know. Yet another brochure to add on would be one that featured tourist attractions/package prices. Other than these very minor things, however, the JW Marriott has go to be - hands down - Medan's best hotel :) Lisateave

Generally the hotel was great! The food was fantastic and it was truly a remarkable experience. planning to return to marriott sometime this month.
