We came to Charlotte for an NBA basketball game and to visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame. This was a perfection location (1 block from the Time Warner facility and only a few steps to the HOF). Very near Dale Jr's Whiskey River too. The facility was well maintained and service was excellent. Would definitely stay here again :)

Excellent hotel with very close proximity (one block walk) to convention center and NASCAR Hall of Fame. Free shuttle service within a three mile radius makes getting to Time Warner Cable Arena and downtown a breeze. Room and entire hotel were always clean and well maintained. Spa and pool weren't large but perfect for a thirty minute relax session. […] Fitness center was small (three people made it crowded) but not horrible. Staff at the front desk were always cheerful, friendly, and helpful. Hotel offers a great complimentary breakfast with hot foods from 6AM to 10AM as well as a free dinner/evening appetizer time with delicious hot foods. Lisateave

The shuttle drivers are horrible drivers. They don't mind going over curbs, turning infront of oncoming traffic, not answering their calls, not knowing street names, or making you late for meetings by going too far out of the way and making excuses for why it took a half hour to pick you up from the hotel.

I enjoyed it very much. Everyone was courteous and the room was very nice and comfortable. I have the address so I can be sure to stay there again.The price wasn't bad either.

I have stayed there before and the hotel was again very nice as was our room despite the glue smell from the wallpaper being redone on our floor. Only "complaint" would be the parking fee which I was not aware of and wouldnt have been a huge issue except when we left for 20-30 minute to go and get dinner and came back and the garage was closed off due […] to being "full". I was told by the front desk that many guests had just checked in and that there was parking on the street next to the hotel and the parking fee would be taking off. The next morning I looked at our check out invoice and the parking fee was still there. It was taken off a check out but the whole parking situation was a bit of a nuisance. Other than that the staff was friendly and the morning breakfast was a good way to start the day. Will stay there again if the price is right. Lisateave

When traveling to Charlotte for cheer competition we also seek out this hotel. The hotel is walking distance the convention center. Feel safe in the surrounding area. LOVE the complimentary breakfast. Outstanding quality & service. Definitely returning in the future

This is the second time that I have stayed at this hotel. The first time was a much better experience than the second. Our sheets were dirty, the faucet in the bathroom was broken. Matanence came in and changed all of our sheets for us. Their attitude was excellent and they comped us. Overall I would stay with them again. My key card worked sometimes and other times didn't. This was a little frustrating. Otherwise, it was a terrific stay. Beds VERY comfortable and room was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Went with children to a concert in the area. The staff were WONDERFUL! Very attentive to our needs. It was clean and in a safe area. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

We stayed here for the Belk Bowl. Had a great time. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was booked but they made every effort to get all of our rooms together. It was clean and in a nice neighborhood. I'm not going to say that we were up "real late" but we did hang out in the lobby area in the evenings and ordered pizza and drank […] our favorite beverages and no one said a word to us about it. I've been to a lot of hotels that frown on this and kick you out. I'm not sure why this hotel doesn't have better reviews. We had no problems at all and everything we wanted to do was in walking distance. We walked to the Belk Bowl, EpiCenter, Nascar Hall of Fame and Time Warner Cable Arena (where my son got to see LeBron play...The Heat was in town) If you don't want to walk they will shuttle you for free. Staff was great and service was excellent. Room was clean and generally comfortable, but a little cramped. We expected more from a room described as a suite besides just a king bed next to a sleeper sofa in a regular hotel room. We didn't care for the pillows and the pullout sofa bed was not in the best condition, but OK for one night. Next time we'll […] book two regular queen beds. We enjoyed the fitness room, indoor pool, and hot tub along with the breakfast provided the next morning. Lisateave

great overall experience. I'd highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Charlotte. The staff were all very knowledgable and friendly; free shuttle was very convenient; enjoyed the lounge area on the 1st floor and the courtesty breakfast. Price was right too!

This was our 4th stay at the Hampton Inn. It is one of our favorite places to stay in Charlotte. It is modern, clean, friendly and has everything a person could need. We will definitely stay again.

Stay was very nice and the staff was excellent. Only hitch was the key cards would not open the gate to the parking area nor the room. Staff fixed problem and all else was fine. Thank you.

Nice rooms. Need to change that they charge for parking though as that was a surprise. Also when they say breakfast ends at 10 am they mean it and the staff won't even let you get any more juice or get any of the stuff that is already out. Thought that was quite rude as they shut the doors and then get on to people who try to get more coffee or even […] a banana. But the front desk and the valet parking assistant "Johnny" were exceptional and very helpful! Lisateave

This is a great hotel for attending the football games. Tailgating next door, walking distance to the stadium and the Epicenter.

i never respond to these but I had to this time. We stayed in Charlotte and it was wonderful. The room was great, breakfast good but perhaps the nicest part was the shuttle service. i decided not to rent a car and thought I would be taking cabs. the shuttle took us everywhere, the drivers were great and there withing 5 minutes of calling. I chose this hotel because it was affordable AND offered breakfast and free internet access, which most of the other Uptown Charlotte hotels did not. I also chose it because of it's close proximity to the EpiCentre (within walking distance!) Parking cost per day, which was the only downside I found, but I imagine it is to be expected in a city hotel. […] The room was very clean and comfortable, with a decent view of the city. The whirlpool tub worked great. I definitely will pick this hotel to stay in again on another trip to Charlotte. Lisateave

The hotel was excellent except for the paper thin walls. We could hear the conversation of the people on the room next to us. Even with earplugs in, I still had a hard time sleeping because of the noise.

But we were given room keys to a room which was already occupied and walked in on another couple! Had I been them I would have been furious. Downstairs the lady at the front desk acted like it was our fault and didn't so much as apologize. Then she told us someone had just called to say they'd be meeting our party (referred to by full name) later that […] night and we weren't expecting anyone; so later I stopped by to ask about our mysterious "friend" and remind the receptionist not to give anyone a key to our room and she acted like I was overreacting. Very strange. Otherwise, I've stayed here a few times and never had an issue with this hotel. Lisateave
